I love that you mentioned a fragrance your husband likes- here is my idea for a video: "Perfumes I wear for other people" :D I have a few of them myself- for instance, my little boy has always loved for me to wear Elizabeth Taylor Diamonds and Emeralds, since he was teeny-tiny. I always keep a bottle of it, because if it makes him happy, it makes me happy, too!

Zoology has me completely captured these days.... I’m in love with everything, from concept to design... Victor is a creative genius and we are blessed to be able to partake in his vision... I don’t know how familiar you are with his animal and nature inspired habitat but I would love to see you do a video on any one of his fragrances that speaks to you personally... I’m about to purchase a bottle of Nightingale and I’ve got more samples to enjoy, Moth is very much on my mind, this line is a total scent experience... 💞

I'm familiar with the brand but I haven't tried any of them yet. Bat is at the top of my list though! The perfumer who created it actually lives here in western Washington!

I want sooooooo many over-priced perfumes. I can't "anti-haul" them. I can only scheme... and plan... and manipulate myself into justifying the purchase. And THAT...is why I am poor. At present, I am pining away for Angélique Noire by Guerlain (beautiful vanilla with a sharp, weird, green angelica note...it's much more wonderful than it sounds). It's not the most expensive that I have ever wanted or purchased, but considering how many I have it seems a bit too much. Fun video as always!!

I ADORE Guerlain's vanilla accord. I find that people who say they don't like Guerlain perfumes are usually just not digging that vanilla they use. I love it though.

I have always loved supporting the local perfume boutique. I went in after being away for 20 years and he remembered me buying my first perfume, that I purchased for myself, Chanel 19. So last year for my 50th I bought a Creed perfume from them.

That is so sweet and completely why I purchase from a local perfume shop as well. They remember birthdays and anniversaries and always know what I like. It's a wonderful shop with lovely people. ALSO Chanel No. 19 FTW! It's the only Chanel perfume I like (of the ones I have smelled) and I LOVE it! Super green! SO beautiful!

Had to pause for a sec to add a note about how you said everyone smells things differently....that has ALWAYS!!!! Intrigued me!! I think about it all the time...how each individual person has their own individual senses so even though we are experiencing the same thing it still has the possibility of being different for each of us 😸🤯💜💚

Absolutely. It's interesting to me as well. All of our bodies are different so yeah, what vanilla smells like to me might smell like blueberries to you for all we know!

I have a little decant of Lilac Love and every time I wear it I feel like Wow this is so good, but yet for some reason I never think of wearing it. Maybe I haven't found the perfect atmosphere to wear it in yet.

It's so very pretty! But I agree, I never think to actually wear it except maybe once or twice in the summer months for no reason at all. It's a beautiful "lazy summer day, sitting in the back yard and reading a book" kind of perfume.

I completely understand your feelings toward Tom Ford, although I still lust after his fragrances. I’m not sure why... maybe it’s how insanely sleek the packaging is. I’ve always loved Tom Ford’s marketing/packaging. Also, I am dying to try a sample of Lilac Love! It sounds so uplifting and pretty. Fantastic video idea! Thanks for posting. 💜

Thank you! I definitely love a ton of Tom Ford perfumes myself as well. I have... maybe... 3 or 4? I can tolerate spending the money on something like Black Orchid but when you get into the higher priced ones it's really difficult (though I do have the gigantic bottle of Tuscan Leather LOL)

What you just shared is A+ info cause it gives me a place to start from and shows ME what stuff I am taking for granted (I am certain you're not the only one watching and thinking the same things). So thank you! As an aside, I don't like the snobbery in the fragrance community (or any community). Not everyone is a snob of course, but it's definitely there! I think more often than not. And I don't want to come off that way! I enjoy talking about this stuff and my hope is that I have something to offer people who are also like ME and just want someone who doesn't sound like they have a stick a stick up their ass to talk to them about shit. I actually love Aromatics Elixir but damn..that puppy is too strong. I have to spray it into the air and walk through it after some of it settles. And you only need to apply it once a week because it lasts on the skin for years!

I want to talk about my favorite perfumes in different categories but I don't own a ton of fruitchoulis so I wanted to do a little more digging. I also don't own many gourmands but I'm fine with that... I don't need to dig much there LOL! I have a couple favorites and that's good enough for me! A LOT of people love them though - fragrance is kind of fun to talk about because it's SO personal and polarizing. I don't like a lot and what I like a lot of people don't. LOL! It's what makes it kind of fun though.

You can simply buy Tom Ford fragrances at a CCO for like 60-75% off. It’s not rare or exclusive ...at all lol

Can't like don't like or can't like it bothers your senses? Nothing wrong with single notes. It's pretty easy to dilute most natural oils and nothing smells quite as beautiful as simply a good quality sandalwood. One of my favorite smells ever is a simple amber accord of vanilla and labdanum. If you like single notes I think it's a lot of fun to collect your own and dilute them. One year for Christmas I gave Jay a whole set of different types of cedars. Ylang or Jasmine come in MULTIPLE varieties. As does lavender and patchouli. All smelling fairly different from one another.

Here's a question.....where would be the best place to buy perfumes?? Other than a store( even though I just purchased a bottle of Shalimar from Walgreens yesterday just so I can smell like a rich old lady)

What's the line? "Shalimar is a tricky fragrance because it's usually covering up the smell of a soiled Depend." LOL! I LOVE Shalimar though! It's a year round fragrance for me. It goes with everything and I can wear it all the time! Love love love! I like local perfume shops because I like supporting small business owners. In Seattle there is Parfumarie Nasreen. They DO mail out samples and are very helpful on the phone (I haven't been in the shop in over a year because of the times we are living in) so I encourage people to check them out - or call a small shop that's in your own area. If you'd rather not and you're looking for niche perfumes, lucyscent.com is great because you can order samples too, that way you aren't blind buying a $300+ bottle of something that SOUNDED good but you ended up hating.

@@DustinHunter thank you! I live in Mississippi so there are no fancy shops near by...the Shalimar is the eau de cologne and it smells so nice! I wear patchouli everyday so I like to find things that blend nicely with it(stash by sjp is one that I like) my ultimate everyday wear would be something that has an incense smell in there with it...I don't know how to describe it...like nag champa and sophistocation 😹 but I do sometimes like to wear things depending on how I feel or what I wear...but also like to have a signature scent(which is patchouli for me)I also enjoy florals like magnolia, rose, and violet

I like that if you DO decide to order something without having smelled it, she ships it with a sample of what you bought so you can try it first and return it if you don't like it. But I always end up getting samples first and then deciding. Prices range between probably $200 to $400 typically. Also incense. Yes! I have a perfume that's no longer made anymore by a company that is also no longer around - BUT it smells like woodsmoke. So if I layer it with almost anything it ends up making it smell like incense. So pretty!
