Thanks! This cherry was interesting to turn. It's not as stiff as the maple that I've been turning into bats so there was a ton of flex. I could have used a steady rest. Maybe that'll be a future project!

YES!!! A Walking Dead fan. Great bat- I would definitely make one of those if I were in the land of the Walking Dead! Maybe even add a few slicing blades too! Wonderful work but you need to add a final touch- BLOOD.......... hehehehe Mo BTW- the barbed wire and cable sure came in handy in the opening of this season- such cool special affects. I was wincing!

Thanks! I always do tests on my finish to make sure its the look I'm going for. I've been favouring danish oil lately since the application is so easy and the results are beautiful. As a general rule, I try to avoid film finishes.
