This is 100% the hardest star in the game. You can do perfect, then one small mistake makes you have to restart it all. I took at least 30 tries because i kept falling in the quicksand.

When I did this I got 95/100 and fell into quicksand ;-;

I spent ages struggling at this and when I finally got to the end I realized I had missed the coins above the thwomp and died trying to get back to it. The next day I was still trying and I got the coins above the thwomp. Then when trying to long jump to the piece of land in the middle of the area, I instead jumped normally and then ground pounded into the sand.

The biggest enemy in this level is the awful camera. Narrow paths plus shaky, uncontrollable camera - it's so much fun, Nintendo 🤦🏻‍♂️
