Yes, a tragic life but she overcame her addictions, died clean and sober, still had her animals, cats, and gave the world the amazing legacy of her voice and talent - a full life by any standards and one lived well at the end. Rest in peace, dear Dusty.

Every time I listen to Dusty, the hairs on my neck go up and I shiver, her artistry, phrasing and power has never been equalled let alone surpassed. Plus she shows here something that most modern singers could never dream of doing, been introducing the song and go straight into it without a note from the orchestra .

This is mum's favourite song..she is still with us, but has severe dementia and now currently in hospital with pneumonia!!! So I'm listening to this and thinking of her.
