I'm glad Chris Candido was the focal point of the DSOTR episode and was in some ways a celebration of the life of a man who worked hard to fulfil his dreams and turn his life around - a life that was far too short.

Nope sport. Chris died from a blood clot from after surgery. Broken leg in NWA TNA back in 2005. While Chris was no angel, and while we get you are a mark for Tammy, she is rotting in jail now for being a homicidal alcoholic, constantly driving impared. If she’d listened to Cornette, she would have been way better off. Jim’s problem was that he trusted Vince a bit too much in the beginning, and thought passing her off to the WWF would be a good thing for her. The problem is that she was a young women with very little experience in the ways of the world, she made some bad decisions, started taking drugs and made even worse decisions. And she’d alienated everyone who could have helped her. The only people left were enablers. Even 15 years later, she came back to WWE for a TV appearance. Stupid move. You don’t go back to the scene of a crime in your life.

From what it looked like with Wrestling with Shadows, Bret was on good terms with Tammy; she played with his kids backstage & the infamous Sunny Days line from Shawn was even more believable given how much she was around Bret. Mick at least seemed OK with her according to the DSotR episode this week, seemed to think she was misunderstood & not liked b/c she was as ambitious as the men but being that ambitious as a woman didn’t mesh well with a male dominated work environment.

Mick doesn’t have a problem with most people & Bret was probably just being manipulated. 98% of the people who worked with Tammy have said she was manipulative, narcissistic, & disloyal. Ambitous to do what? She wasn't a wrestler, she wasn't really a manager.... give her her due she had more personality and talking abilities than Sable who was nothing but a walking pair of tits

Mick Foley didn’t have an issue with Sunny, Jim Ross doesn’t speak ill of her either, and Terri Runnels was probably the only female friend she had in the locker room, because she didn’t get along with Sable, she had a fight with Luna, and I don’t know if she was that close to Chyna, because Triple H wasn’t exactly fond of Sunny.

At 6:07 Dutch reveals that Terry Boulder (Hulk Hogan) was Sunny's hairdresser. I think he perhaps got a bit confused. I think he probably meant it was Brutus the Barber Beefcake.
@pontus3142

No, he is saying that Terri Runnels (aka Marlena) did her hair.
@dcooper5032
@dcooper5032 Жыл бұрын
He said Terry Boulder. Which as everyone knows was Hulk Hogan’s former wrestling moniker. It’s obviously not Hullk Hogan who coiffed her hair of course. Much more likely to have been Brutus the Barber Beefcake. Hogan probably just gave her a shampoo and rinse.
@pontus3142
@pontus3142 Жыл бұрын
He initially said Terri Boatright which was her maiden name, then it was corrected to Runnels. Hogan was not even in WWF at this period.

@@pontus3142 So you're suggesting that Hulk Hogan was not involved at all in the process of cutting and styling Tammy Sytch's hair during the mid to late 90's time period? What on earth was Hogan doing then that was more important than taking care of Sunny's luscious locks?
@pontus3142
@pontus3142 Жыл бұрын
I think at this point he was teaming with Dave "Evad" Sullivan against Flair, Kevin Sullivan, etc. I am surprised that you think of Hulk Hogan as primarily a hairdresser, he is more known for his wrestling career and - later - reality TV shows.

There was a wrestler who told the story of riding in a car with Chris and Tom. At a rest stop or gas station stop this wrestler asked another car load of wrestlers if he could ride with them to get away from Chris and Tammy. May have been Dr Tom. I just don't remember.
