The Oates brothers were kayfabe brothers, but were solid performers and technicians. They weren't the flashy kind, but were good workers and I enjoyed their work. I'm about 10 years younger than Dutch. I could only watch WWWF in Rhode Island until the advent of cable around 1980. But I always looked at the magazines even as a young child, sort of a pre-internet smart mark lol. I've always been a fan of wrestlers who put on brutal looking matches, promos were not as important to me. The Oates Brother were on Omni Cards but rarely on TV. Ronnie Garvin & Jerry Oates actually beat the Road Warriors for the National Tag Title! Garvin & Ron Starr had some brutal National TV title bouts. There are also some good clips of Ken Lucas Vs Jerry Lawler on KZbin. Hope the baby is doing well James and you and your wife are getting a full night's sleep. Ted Oats vs Wayne Cowan was a great feud here in GA. Sadly many things like this are forgotten about because there is no footage. I don't care for modern wrestling but love this show when Dutch talks about the 70s/80s!
