Dutch National Anthem (1815-1932) - Wien Neêrlands Bloed (Queen version)

Wien Neêrlands bloed (Those in whom Dutch blood) was the national anthem of the Netherlands between 1815 and 1932. There exist two versions of the song: the original, and a changed version created for the reign of Queen Wilhelmina. This second version modernised the language, adapted the text to the fact there was now a queen instead of a king and also replaced a controversial second line. This is the version shown here. Wien Neêrlands bloed was officially replaced by the more popular Het Wilhelmus on 10 May 1932.

Now it's "Leve de Koning!" 'De Koningin" Queen Beatrix, retired in 2013, and her son was installed King Willem-Alexander, 'de Koning'. ORANJE BOVEN! LEVE DE KONING! The King and Queen Maxima visited Indonesia 2 years ago, and there are good KZbin videos of that visit, especially the Palace in Jogjakarta. 🇮🇩👍

You misunderstand the original. In the second line, "van vreemde smetten vrij" refers to our Dutch blood, being free from foreign stains, not our Dutch land. So keeping our blood free from foreign stains is regarded as racist. Supporting racial purity in The Netherlands. These days, through immigration, especially from Morocco, Turkey etc, or Dutch people marrying foreigners etc, 'the Dutch blood' of Dutch citizens, has many different strains in it, not 'stains' .

Problem with this that makes me hesitant is that the kingdom of Yugoslavia anthem isn’t really a monarchist song. It has no mention of the monarchy, and all the component parts of the anthem have since been used by republics and even communists

Yep. We did not have a national anthem until the 1930's. This, Wier Neerland Bloed, was in practice a second national anthem - the Wilhelmus always was the more important one. The fascists of the NSB preferred the (racist) Wier Neerlands Bloed and that resulted in the decision to make the Wilhelmus the official anthem. Something similar happened with the flag.
