La musique de ma jeunesse quand j'étais étudiant. Souvenirs... souvenirs...Les folles nuits blanches en jazz session restent inoubliables. Dieu que c'était merveilleux. Je suis vraiment heureux d'avoir trouvé cet enregistrement. Un grand merci à celui qui l'a réalisé.

In de jaren '40 ging ik met mijn schoolvrienden naar het Kurhaus waar Jazzfestivals werden gehouden. Wij gingen helemaal uit ons dak wanneer eindelijk het doek open ging terwijl de Dutch Swing College de DSC blues speelde. Wij hadden met onze spijkerbroeken en geruite hemden aan heel veel plezier in die tijd.

This is such an excellent video... I grew up listening to the sounds of the Dutch Swing College band... thanks to my grandpa... & I hope I can pass on the taste of real good music to my children that are on their way.....

Vele goede herinneringen aan de DSC band kippenvel bij Jazz ath the Concertgebouw , vroeger in de vijftiger jaren iedere zaterdagmiddag bij de AVRO op de radio, ik werkte in Arnhem en bleef na mijn werk s,middags langer omdat ik anders de radio uitzending miste, onvergetelijk als de begin tune klonk.

Amongst the many top artists who performed with the DSCB also included the great jazz-accordionist Johnny Meijer. I have many CD`S where they play together. They are awesome.

Yes, great write up. Thanks for this and your other videos. This one satisfied a curiosity - when I saw them last which was on the Isle of Bute I was seated to one side and could only see the pianist's head. At the time I could have sworn he had three hands.

Sau gute Band. UNd man muss auch anerkennen dass der Trompeter trotz seines Alters echt super ist. Denn ab 40 wirds für Trompeter auf diesem Niveau schwerer. Der mittlere Klarinettist ist auch super

Great band ...but here the recording is not good ,I mean the sound ...and I the drummer don't seems to be the good one playing like a blacksmith on the ride cymbal .The 1963 version with Rita Keis and former musicians is incomparably the best
