Your reason now is being infatuted with Kim. You would find there are at least 5% French words in Dutch although it is called a cousin of German with shamelessly loaned English words. Dutch sure is not the hallmark of originality But then French and English share words between the two shamelessly too.

@@markjasper1127 well it’s different but for me dutch is easier than french and german, and dutch has 60% vocabulary in common with english so you’ll see dutch will be more understandable. Anyways good luck with the french

I've lived in the Netherlands for more than a year. I used language apps but with not a lot of success. I was getting a haircut today and the barber - Iraqi who lived in Germany and moved to Netherlands a year ago- told me to check out Dutch YT lessons. I somehow never thought to have a look on YT. I've been wanting to learn some dutch for a long time, even though it's categorized as one of the most difficult languages of the germanic family, it's time to face the challenge. Visited the Netherlands numerous times and spoke to the locals in English but the next time surely I'll be able to greet someone in this beautiful language! Finally a beginners course! I'm learning both Dutch and German. I find both languages intresting and want to know about the similarities and diffrences between the two languages. I heard on one channel centeries ago they were once the same language and gradually evolved diffrently.
