Een kleine voetnoot: er is een subtiel verschil tussen gelukkig en blij: blij is meer een stemming (mood) op 1 moment en gelukkig meer een gevoel dat je langer hebt. So there is a subtitle difference (what you don't have with the English word 'happy'), that is that 'blij' refers to a certain mood in one moment and 'gelukkig' is more like a state that lasts longer.

Dutch Language Academy Ik voel me ok denk ik! ;) :) Ik weet niet hoe ik “I guess” moet zeggen! XD Anyway! I swear to god! Quite a few of them obnoxious slang words we North Eastern English have are indeed either very similar or false friends to some of wor Dutch words! ;) 😃😃😃 Also, I find it very amazing that two of them false friends of words between the two languages are swear words! 😱😱😱😱😂😂😂 “Kunt” is a totally innocent word to you but not to us! And “Cut” is a totally innocent word to us but not to you! To make them that same swear word in question just have the letters C and K switch places! XD
