The DS260 form determines whether or not to be given the visa. Therefore, you should not rush to fill it just because you have won the DV Lottery.
What is DS260 USA Visa Form
The DS-260, also known as the Online Immigrant Visa Application, is a form required by the U.S. Department of State for individuals seeking to apply for an immigrant visa to the United States.
This form is used to collect biographic information about the visa applicant, such as their name, date of birth, passport details, educational and employment history, as well as information about their family members. It is an important part of the immigration process, as it provides the U.S. government with the information needed to evaluate the applicant's eligibility for an immigrant visa.
The DS-260 is typically completed and submitted online through the Consular Electronic Application Center (CEAC) website and must be submitted before the scheduled visa interview at the U.S. embassy or consulate.
