We’ve been OKW members since 1993 but we’ve largely switched our usage to HH. HH is absolutely beautiful and relaxing.

I worked at DHHIR from '20-'22, so it was heartening to hear your love for the resort. All those things are true: great bike trails (roughly 200 miles of them), superb restaurants, laid back relaxation (what we call the low country vibe), unique shops and markets, fishing, guided tours, kayaking, golfing, beaching, tennis, pickleball, and so much more. To your humorous point about the car charger, there are only two so others should be aware. The ones across the bridge near the CM parking lot are actually owned by Shelter Cove, not Disney, and they are free on a first come, first served basis. Finally, I just stayed in a newly refurbished studio (plus, I saw the test rooms back before the refurb started), and while the new look isn't as quaint or homey feeling as the original concept, they did do a fairly good job of trying to keep some of the feel of a fish camp. . .and they kept the Mickey bench in the hallway where the washer/dryer units are located in the 1BR/2BR suites. Thanks for a fun look at a great resort!

Super excited for this one! Hilton Head was our home resort for years (sold once we moved to FL), but we, ironically, never stayed there when we owned. We are heading there in June for two nights in a one-bedroom. Thanks for all you guys do!

We had to cancel our Jan trip to HHI, but will be back for Thanksgiving. It's such a special place. I may have mentioned this in the comments on your other HHI video but be sure and try out Hudson's. They have their own shrimp boats, so you're very likely eating shrimp that was caught that same day or the day before. Amazing! Also - if you want a break from seafood and just want a great burger the Char Bar's wagyu burger is probably the best I've ever eaten. Their sushi is good too though if someone in your party does want seafood.

Jeff! The slide is solid! Vero and Hilton Head have some of the best slides within DVC.

We stayed for Valentine’s Day several years ago. Too cold for swimming and sun bathing but it is a nice peaceful vacation. The beach club is beautiful! Gotta eat at Frankie Bones. We watched dolphins play through the windows of The Salty Dog Cafe. Great area to get your steps in😊

We just got back from Aulani. We had a great time! The 5 hour flight is just not worth purchasing at Aulani. I would rather purchase at the Disneyland Tower. I do understand why Aulani is still not sold out. This is after about 13 years in existence? Disney upper management is going to have to come up with better incentives. In order to finally sell out the Aulani DVC Resort. DVC should add another DVC Resort in Lake Tahoe. I believe that DVC Resort would sell out very fast. Just don’t place any restrictions at that future Resort. Like that of the Riviera Resort and Disneyland Tower. I know if we lived in the south east. We would purchase at the Disney Hilton Head Island Resort. We live on the west coast. We would seriously consider purchasing a Lake Tahoe DVC Resort. That future resort would be a short flight away from the San Francisco and LA area. That is where the big money lives. DVC could easily tap in to those two markets. As far as driving an all electric car. No thank you! I have heard about all the horror stories with all electric vehicles. I am waiting for the Aptera Solar panel powered vehicles. We have a Labor Day weekend trip planned for our first visit. Do you know if the refurb will be completed by the end of August?

The refurb is about 75-80% complete at this time. Unless something wild happens, it easily will be finished by August. In fact, I suspect they'll be done by mid to late April.

Did you guys say the best place to fly into if going to HH and how far a drive it is from the airport?

Savannah, GA is the closest major airport. It’s about an hour or so.

There’s also an airport right on the island. Some major airlines do have flights there! I know some connect through Charlotte. Some of the smaller regional airlines fly there direct 1 or 2 days per week from certain cities, too. My family has had a vacation house on HHI for about 35 years. If it is ever sold, I will be using my DVC points to keep going there!!

I will tell you we stayed at DVC Hilton head last May prior to the renovations, and we complained to the front office because we had brought our electric vehicle and there were people parking in those spots that were not electric vehicles on a daily basis and we could never get our car in therewe ended up using the free as well in the cast member parking as well as using them at Walmart in Bluffton. Disney needs to do a better job of having electric vehicle parking spots and ensuring that they are made available for those with electric vehicles at Hilton head.
