We stayed in a refurbished 2 bedroom in December and it was beautiful! New furniture, murphy bed, new tiling, sinks, etc. We’ll definitely be back.

We’ve been members at OKW since 1993. We’ve now largely shifted to staying at HH. Love HH. Great place to stay

Looks like a great place to stay. Would be a great place to stay for a couple of days on the drive down to WDW. I don’t own an electric vehicle but that is a good idea to show the availability of chargers. A couple of years ago my rental was a plug in hybrid and I couldn’t find anywhere to charge it at BLT. The chargers at DS were always being used. If I had an all electric car, it would have been inconvenient to find a charging location.

If you are coming in from Savannah Airport (GA), There is almost NOTHING between the airport and HHI except private homes and farmland. Gorgeous drive, but be certain that your rental car is gassed up for you.

Great video Amy and Paul. (You two are so cute together, loved the photo you printed out) Yes, I agree, that resort does need some love, but it does look nice and peaceful. Amy made me laugh when she was behind Paul in the beginning with her coat and gloves on, she looked very cold. Us northerners in Ohio, would be in shorts and t-shirts and in the pool. Thanks for the video and the information. I have never seen this resort! The points required are great! Sending love south....💜

We loved the Hilton Head island resort. We went the last week of February first week of March last year. We had a one bedroom in the main building. It was perfect. Our daughter (20) slept on the chair pull out bed. It was warm and we were able to enjoy the beach. We walked all over the place. We walked miles. We did find a really good Greek restaurant. Did you see the grounded sailboat that has been sitting at anchor in the bay in view of the main building for years and years according to cast members. We did an island tour as well. We plan to return in the future for sure.

Looks so nice. Great vid. We are U.K. DVC members and intend to go early Nov 25 when the weather is still pretty warm. It will be nice to have it refurbed by then as the rooms were left waaayy too long for a refurb here.

Oh man! We were supposed to be there that week but had to cancel last minute - now we have to wait until Thanksgiving to get our HHI fix. We adore HHI and love that resort. The marsh is so relaxing. The first time we visited I thought we'd miss being right on the beach but we didn't at all. I could just sit on that balcony, read and watch the marsh for hours. We were searching for a HHI resale contract by our second day there, and had purchased one within a week of getting home 😎. We've always enjoyed Poseidon and the Social Bakery is amazing. Next time try Hudson's for shrimp. It's a bit further from the resort, but so worth the drive. Ela's on the Water is pricy but it's walkable from the resort and the food is incredible. Also - if you want some interesting whiskies take the short drive off the island to Bluffton and go to Burnt Church Distillery. Take their tour - it's really interesting and the cocktails are fantastic.

Love having the EV charging information in the videos! We stayed there on our way back home from MNSSHP this year and used the Tesla Supercharger at the Parker’s Kitchen convenience store that’s about 10 minutes from the resort. We just stopped on the way in and topped off to about 80% and were fine for the rest of our stay.

Love HHI! Glad you guys made the trip up. So different to see how uncrowned it is! 😂😂 We’ve only been in summer and spring break. Even in the height of the summer it’s so relaxing at Disney’s resort. They have the best cm’s and so many great activities. I highly recommend the marsh tour if they are running it in the winter. And HHI has amazing bike trails all over the island, you must check them out. We’ve ridden our bikes over to the beach but usually drive because we had a load of stuff for the sand, chairs, cooler etc.

Thanks so much for sharing this! Hilton Head was our home resort for years, but we just sold (thanks, Derek!) and are looking for a new, on-property home resort. Ironically, we never stayed at HH when we owned, but we just booked a one-bedroom through World of DVC rental store and will be staying in June.

Another great video - I really appreciate your thorough resort and room review videos - so helpful! We really want to try out HHI and actually started planning a visit there for this March, but between the fact that it’s not super ADA friendly (for my sister in a wheelchair) and that it was still going to be under construction making the ADA more of an issue (not sure whether it would be bookable or not), we pivoted and are now going to Aulani instead (our 4th visit 😊) - we’ll have to get to HHI another time, but your review has helped a lot to get a feel for the resort overall. ❤

It looks cute for old people 🤷🏼‍♀️🤣 they have a Mickey bush but nothing else Disney… I would expect more Disney designs and even characters… maybe a character meal… not impressed as a family of 6. Plus when I’m at the beach I need a beachfront balcony to see the ocean and listen to those waves 😌

I've owned our HHI contracts since 2001, and I have to say, I hope we get one of the old rooms this summer when we get there. What theme were they going for in the refurbishment? Holiday Inn Express??

Certain places there are - Bike path has them. Otherwise standard crosswalks.
