I love that they pull it off with so little, but I love the nasty, distorted psychedelic song it's become from them live. When I saw them years back, they were coming back for an encore, so everyone was kind of mentally running through the "Okay, they're gonna play something big, a crowd pleaser...what haven't they played yet??). They shuffled back out onto stage in darkness, then a single purple light shadowed down over Jonny, making him just visible as a silhouette. Moment of silence, and then BAM!! "IMBW" opening riff dripping with distortion and reverb comes popping out of his guitar, and then the rest of the band enters they CRASH in, the whole floor dancing like we're watching an electro-band. It was fascinating to see this moody, insular Kid A/Amnesiac track become so dynamic and head-rattling. I wish they wouldn't shy away from that so much...

Radiohead has changed my life in so many ways over the years. Every song takes me back to that point in my life when I first heard it: The sounds, smells, feelings and emotions. How can there be a greatest hits album when every album is a greatest hit. Radiohead, like it or not, is the most important band of this day and age. This performance shows us why they're so influentially magically brilliant.

I speak to Radiohead's management on a rare occasion, once spoke to Phil when he was answering messages on his Facebook page, and also exchanged a tweet with Nigel, but other than that, nothing. Not that I expect anything anyway, I do it mainly for the love of the band, and secondly because I enjoy enabling people to watch concerts through KZbin, as not everyone is able to download and burn DVD's.

One of the best things about radiohead is the similarity between their live performances and their album recorded stuff - and both sound gorgeous... I think radiohead is unique in the fact that they produce their records to match their live performances rather than the other way around.. what everyone else does. They pour their souls into the genuine on stage music. (which is why I nearly cried when they came to my state to perform, but I couldn't go)

First time Idioteque was listenable for the whole world thx to old talkshow Nulle Part Ailleurs on Canal Plus inviting Radiohead to play it few days/weeks before Kid A was available + ”Kid Amnesiac in Paris” played for the same TV channel few month later (a live where the band played songs from the 2 albums, couple of weeks after ”Amnesiac” release) + this = I only realized now how we, french people, had great opportunities to watch some of the best and exclusive Radiohead performances in the world !

TheKnowlesy56 thom’s voice is incredible. there’s a “(nice dream)” live performance from 95 where he’s playing alone. when i played nice dream myself on guitar sounds like there’s a high pitch note reverberating near the ending, and i guess thom noticed it too. when i saw this performance, my mind blew: he sang this exact same high pitch note. i guess he can perceive “hidden” sounds and incorporate it explicitly in a perfect way. here’s what im talking about: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mpDRZH1-prGIfdE at 3:16
