I was given an absurd amount of acid by the friends I came with, and then walked thought the Camel Free Cigarette tent realizing the Beta Band was opening. I spent most of the show - fully aware, but funky-brained - wondering the exact same thing. That was a great show.

Absolutely the best concert I've ever attended. I still remember the chills that shoto through my body when the concert started and the first notes of National Anthem started. Thanks for posting. Saw them in 1998 with Spiritualized but didn't appreciate it.

This is the video in it's entirety. I didn't cut any off, nor was a mistake made on the upload. See the "PLAY" in the top right corner at the beginning? That's when the VHS recording was started.

This is the only Radiohead show I've ever been to. I've been to a lot of concerts all over the country, but this was one of the greatest shows I've ever seen. I was just a few rows back from the center of the stage..and was constantly being pushed around and kicked in the head from crowd surfers, but I was so caught up in the show..I don't remember it bothering me too much. It was a warm night, and the sun setting on the Gorge during the show was something I'll never forget.

Thanks so much for doing all of this. This show is dear to my heart. I went with my wife of (now) 15 years, my sister and brother-in-law. It is still the best show I have ever been lucky enough to attend. There was a point towards the end of the night that I literally clutched my hair and couldn't form the words for what I was feeling. Thanks for your diligence. Cheers!

@AustinBrock Funny, I was at this same show, too. I've been to 14+. It felt like an alien spaceship was landing -- and the audience responded in kind. It was the most ape-shit show I've seen of any Radiohead concert, including Glastonbury 2003. The Gorge has a big day-long "pre-party" outside gates, thus the relative insanity. By the "Bends" I was barely holding on. Thom's "please stop" before "Morning Bell" could have been him trying to temper the audience. "Exit" almost flew off the rails.

radiohead is one of those groups you can tell they are trying their best and having a great time playing music for music's sake. Not for money or fame or other things that drive other "artists".

One of my favorite concerts ever. The crowd did get rough as reported, they actually stop the concert, right around Exit Music because someone fell in the 'pit'. Honestly thought Beta Band was going to be better. After Climbing up the Walls I decided I would be safer on the hill.

I was front row for this concert, but only lasted the first half. It was the roughest concert I've ever attended. I was getting kicked in the back of the head every few minutes as people were being pulled out over my head. People were begging to be pulled out! At one point a dude's wheelchair came flying over my head!!! I finally had enough and got pulled out and watched from the hill. The break during Exit Music was because the crowd was so rough. Despite all that, amazing venue!

Was at the show and can honestly say it paralleled any and all epic-life changing concert perfomances. The video feed as viewed is a great quality, but can hardly convey the intensity of the experience that day. Acknowledging how spoiled I am to have a venue like the Gorge Amphitheater in my backyard. But 4 those that havent been, Radiohead's Gorge show in 2001, was a euphoric harmony of high-wattage, emotion-provoking musical exhibition and the breath-taking panoramic vistas, of Central Wash.

I love your work. Thank you for making these videos available for anyone to see. Radiohead really has been a very evolutionary band and the fact that they still are creating music to make you stop and go 'hmmm is something that cant be accomplished with every band these days.

I was also there, just far enough back to have a great view (except for the guy on ecstasy in front of me who kept holding up his jacket like a flag), but not too close to get kicked by the caveman section. And yes, people were instigating. I think most people were appreciative that they stopped during Exit Music to make a point. I get that it's par for the concert course, but it was especially hairy this time. I'm surprised there were no injuries (not counting bruises).
