Nice video. I had film store and selling DVDs from the start. We imported films from US and Japan, before European releases. DVD was here the 1st format that allowed people to collect movies. And ofcourse everything were widescreen and prices low compared laser disc.

My friends and I really tried to figure out the book of shadows thing. We were only like 9 or 10 but we played the tape in reverse many times. We picked up a few random characters but never understood the full message! The original film was way better anyway.

I agree that DVD was a huge step from a technical standpoint but even if my all time favorite movie is only available on DVD I just can't watch it, the picture quality is so bad I can't enjoy the movie. When you look at textures and people's faces it just looks really bad, faces look waxy with people's skin having no pores and the colors throughout the movie are not the actual colors of what was filmed so you're not actually seeing what you were meant to see. DVD menus drove me crazy if you put the movie in but couldn't start it immediately you'd have loud annoying music or clips that would repeat over and over again until you finally had to hit play and pause it until you were ready or just stop it entirely lol.
