HE DID THE CONFESSION SCENE IN A ONE PERFECT TAKE? OMG. COLIN FARRELL IS BRILLIANT ACTOR.

And I heard that he couldn't sleep after that scene. Makes me love him even more.

What’s completely underrated about this film is the message. Stews confession is the unveiling of what most of us use to mask our daily lives. Fancy clothes, false appearances, compulsive lying… when stew finally admits his crimes to the entire world it’s enough to make us all reflect on how honest we are in our own lives. It’s a masterpiece of a script that can bring a tear to the eye of anyone guilty of the same crimes. Amazing writing and directing.

I didn't realise Joel Schumacher was.......as old as he was. I imagined he was in his late 20s when he made this film. I was so blinkered on that one. .. But I certainly get it why Robert Carlyle based his looks on Joel 😂. And needless to say - this is one brilliant, brilliant movie!

For the people I often see around the internet wondering why this movie never had a sequel or a franchise. Honestly, I think that in if they ever tried to do a franchise over this movie, imo the more interesting choice could have been NOT to do the Saw franchise gimmick of making the Caller each time have new victims to attack. But instead, they could have tried to have the Caller AND STU being the recurring two main characters of it, that each movie had each their storyline going on and mirroring each other. We could have see Stu still having to deal with the consequences -good but expecially bad- his confession had on his life (I cannot imagine something like this happening now with socials, Stu would have been a laughting stock for months) and his struggles to become a honest person not only in fear of the Caller, but himself too. And honestly I think that this will be a very interesting story to tell. And at the same time the Caller would have been the source of chaos in each new chapters, with each time a new shady individual that fall victim to him, and who knows, maybe Stu can be a part of helping saving them? Just my two cents, I just think that Saw formula is too characteristing for that movie saga to have another franchise with very similar mechanic trying the same. Maybe this could have been a better options. PS but we all know why they didn't continue, how use Phone Booth to call anymore? XD

It sucks how this is only on the DVD releases overseas (ex. Australia), because only my copy here (USA) has the theatrical trailer. I love behind-the-scenes stuff, especially if it shows footage that didn't make it to the final movie.
