@@Chris11201Sorry but you have no clue. Devin started 6-7 years ago (I watch from March 2020, nardo grey Evo) at his parents garage with old tools when he had no clue. Now he can paint a car almost perfect in a few days...
@Fahrenheit_Motorsports15 күн бұрын
We got to watch in real-time as Devin immediately regretted each shortcut he took. This is the first time in a LONG time I’ve seen him do this…usually, it’s perfection or rejection. Love the honesty in this video. Lord knows we all do this every time we pick up some tools to start a project.

I found your channel 2-3 days ago. And you're already in my top 3 favourite automotive car youtubers. Just straight to the point, good info, good editing, good taste in cars etc etc

Honesty and transparency are qualities missing in many people today. Devin is one of my favorite KZbinrs.
@brandonleggett155415 күн бұрын
Speaking from the same experience the reason you kept seeing the ring from the primer is because you sprayed the first layer of base coat on too thick rather than dust it on, causing the thinner/reducer in your base to eat away at the primer if that’s any help to you where as when you fixed it afterwards it’s because in the video you dusted the first layer on
@JDMWorks116 күн бұрын
Nice to see the bad along with the good man. Love the transparency. I would've given up after the second attempt LOL.

I have had all this happen to me 😁. When you paint something the same way as previously and it comes out that way. No explanation but the product everything is the same. The only big difference I normally find is on the weather side when you paint in the workshop or outside. Cooler weather I normally pick up problems. But at least now I know it isn't only me 😂. Thanks for sharing. 🤙

@cadenator-lt9kc15 күн бұрын
With the hood u did everything correctly except I would’ve sanded the entire hood all the way down and started with the new color on the entire hood but in your case probably wasn’t necessary. But if you’re not in a spray booth there is going to be dust particles in your shop no matter how clean it is. U could’ve tried hanging up the hood before spraying the clear. Just go lighter on first couple of coats but I think it can be buffed out. I’m a new subscriber and I love watching your videos more than some of the other car channels on KZbin.

I think this isnt even rushing for devin, this is just his normal pace of work. Even when he was working on the "worlds cleanest evo" he was spraying parts in the shop cause he coudn't get time in the booth.
