Thanks for the description I can't believe he wrote such a long work : on first hearing I only really enjoyed the Scherzo but gee it's overly long !;7 themes as material to work with in 1st movement [!] and the revision is still unwieldy ? Oh dear .7 and 8 get played in public more these days !

I think this piece sounds like Beethoven would live longer about 95 years old to compose a symphony.
