Why did you miss all the timings for the movements? 00:00:00 - Allegro non tanto 00:13:00 - Adagio 00:25:08 - Scherzo (Furiant), Presto 00:33:46 - Finale, Allegro con spirito ;)

Your point? Both are wonderful. And imo don't have much more in common than the key signature.

@@leonidpolonsky4932 having listened to both symphonies often (and played in the Brahms) the similarity had never struck me though now have both tunes in my head! They are two finales written in the same keys a few years apart. I think they are allowed to be as similar as they are without Dvorak being accused of plagarism. I wonder whether Brahms ever made a comment. There's a lot more discussions about the influences on Dvoraks 6th symphony under the link below.
