I knew I recognized her voice, but I didn't realize until the end that the main character was played by none other than Mrs. Voorhees herself, Betsy Palmer. Listen at 10:15 when she says "Oh, I didn't mean it that way, Madge!" It sounds like she's saying "Oh, I couldn't let them open this place again. Could I? Not after what happened...."
