Thanks for sharing. I’m in middle TN. Plan to start seeding end of the month among them are lavender seeds. Great to see yours germinate in a couple of days.

I started my seeds a little early in a 288 plug tray. I had worked with them back about late 1980's for a commercial greenhouse. Well let me tell you! Starting these in the house under grow lights (from Lowes) with the heat on just could not keep the soil from drying out and they were getting so leggy I lost quite a few before I changed tactics. The lightbulbs I got from lowes fit into a metal clamp on light fixture. Last year, they did so-so but I was starting them in front of a big picture window so I guess they were getting supplemental sunshine as well. This year, we'd had a lot of cloudy weather. So, I found some lightbulbs from Walmart and they have a built in switch! I kid you not. The switch turns on the different colors according to the stage of growth so for seed starting and seedlings they need nothing but Blue Light. 😮 I didn't know that, but to save as many seedlings as I could, I bulked up on the light bulbs and bought some more fixtures and a bigger shelf. That blue light is bulking up the stems. It's actually working! That's Great Value A19 Grow Light Bulb. They were about $7 each something like 9Watts, cheaper than the ones from Lowes. The clamp on light fixture I got from Home Depot for $10. Ace Hardware wanted $16!!! It's working for me. I don't know what the other settings on the bulb will do, but the Blue light saved my plants. So, I put a light on the end of each shelf and it will hold 3 flats. So I got a good number transplanted. I'll have to replant some stuff but I've got time.
