Unboxing a brand new Dw thin aluminum snare drum 6.5x14. The demo features the stock heads.

I was on the fence on which aluminum snare to get. I had a lm400 but left that at the church looking for something different better hardware and this looks the part. I like this one and the new Sonor aluminum snare. Also the Tama starphonic I think it’s called

Yes this drum without any muffling can have that flavor

That fills up the music though, if you are playing in alone or in a small room, or want a dead sound then for sure you can mute it. This is a very controlled ping vs other aluminum snares
