Are you cutting dried out or bad roots? Or are the roots still good and just cutting it back?

Hi, sorry for late response. Roots are healthy, I wanted to maintain and trim them so plant will not overgrowth a pot.

@@plantronika does this not slow down growth? I have read that avocado plants are very sensitive when it comes to damaging roots

@@ivan1989619 That should be crucial. This is a bonsai, we want it to grow slowly. I also use fertilizer for that. We want the trunk of the plant to be thicker (not bigger)

What kind of wire do you use?

This is an ordinary wire for tying plants. It is folded in half so that it can retain the shape of the stem.

Hi, I would say, in about two weeks the plant starts to grow new branches, but it depends a lot, for example, if the plant is in an exponential period of growth, it would be much faster. Also if you use some kind of fertiliser
