Joshua , brand new car competitive car starting from scratch $20k. With no spares. That’s just a car. No trailer ect.. And minimum addl 5k on up to run it a season. I spent 22k in general costs this year racing an I already own everything.

How much would you say it cost racing and maintaining a dwarf per season, not the purchase of the car, trailer? And how many races in a season? Ive liked dwarfs and modlites for awhile but I'm debating whether to move up to a dwarf or something else. Trying to get an idea for maintanace cost between divisions.

Ryan Changus , I race dwarfs in California. Your question is wide open. It really depends on how competitive you want to be. Any form of racing can be very expensive really quickly. I can only speak for myself on this, I race an average of 30 races a season and with EVERYTHING factored in I spent 22k this year and didn’t have any significant accidents. That’s after I already owned a car. The 22k added up in motor maintenance / rebuilds, fuel, pit fees for myself and crew of 5 , food feeding everyone, hotels on weekends racing more than 2 hours from home, rear tires every race night, weekly car maintenance, tow vehicle fuel / maintenance, parts for the car, shock rebuilds plus a lot more I’m not thinking about. Not at all trying to be a dick but as the old saying goes with racing “if your question is how much does it cost” translates to “you can’t really afford it” and should take up tennis. Racing isn’t for everyone. In short how much do you spend in a season? ALOT.

@@chrisburnsed6349 Half your expenses have nothing to do with racing successfully. For starters, a crew of 5 for a dwarf car is ridiculous, most 410 sprints dont have that many crew members.
