Honestly I’m an old school advanced amateur. I love this little telescope. I can pop it out and do some imaging. Once I set my big rig up I need a few nights without taking it down.

Wow. Awesome. This was exactly what I wanted. I just ordered the Dwarf2 system, and hopefully, I can do this in my country. Thank you for your demonstration. I loved it. I'm an amateur photographer who just started to learn to photograph the Milkyway galaxy. I'll ask for help if I have any questions, and thank you, sir :)😊

Thanks so much for this video! I'm that 'rank beginner" you're talking about. I first became Starstruck a few months ago after visiting a Dark Sky park. I got some binocs. Then I got the Dwarflab. I know almost nothing about photography either (don't even know most of the terminology) so I have a big learning curve ahead of me.

I have telescopes but would like to have one of these to when I travel. I do have a smartphone and use it on a tripod in night mode to take nice astro photos. Can still view planets and moons even with skyglow.

I got my dwarf telescope back last May 2023. There is one problem that I have come across. If you are an iOS, Apple person, then before warned that they are way behind what the android people can do with the software. As of the present date, they have not fixed this issue. For example, the iOS software does not have the color curves feature. There is supposedly a new version coming out for both android and iOS software, and it is to be seen if they have fixed these issues and others. All that being said it takes great pictures and you just have to do more post processing. 👍

g`day tony not a bad unit as you say it would be great for a beginner and would save some disappointment to new people to the hobby of expecting to see hubble type images when trying visual the first few times now they will. to a point, but also see a lot more than visually also you said you had a small issue with focus maybe the manufacturer can include a mini bahtinov mask made like the sun filter to attach to the unit to help .(just a idea to help focusing manually) good too see you in front of the camera again making content tony. great video mate cheers

Thanks JimmyD. I couldn't agree more. I love the idea of a mask, it should be simple to make for such a small objective.

Well, thank you for this wonderful product. There is a very, very important question for me before purchasing: Can this telescope be an alternative to the Nikon P1000 camera in order to obtain a 125x zoom for photographing distant places? How much is the optical zoom and digital zoom of this telescope.

Why is a filter filtering IR, why don't we want it? Andromeda is my favorite galaxy! And imagine life - plants and animals - is there!

I am a professional photographer who has been thinking about getting a telescope for a while now. I am a beginner astronomer who only takes photos of the sky for fun, and I usually just use my regular photography equipment (D810 with 500mm lens) for night sky shots. I was thinking about getting a telescope with some tracking mounts and using the camera I have. Now I know this thing exists it has thrown a bit of a wrench the plan. I am not sure if I would be better getting one of these smart telescopes or if I could pull better images from an amateur scope with my current photography gear. The D810 does handle noise pretty well, and the resolution is very large too (36mp). I am not sure if I should get one of these smart telescopes as I am technically a beginner or should I use what I am already familiar with and just learn the amateur telescope part as I go. I do have some idea of what I am doing when it comes operating the telescope I am looking at. I just don't want to be disappointed if I can get better pictures with my camera or if the resolution isn't what I was hoping for in the smart scope or if the images are noisy compared with the camera. On the other hand, what if I am overestimating my ability with the amateur telescope and I bite off more than I can chew? I am not sure what to go for now. The big plus with the smart scope is the size, but what I really want is to get better quality images in comparison to what I am currently getting.

This kit might not be for you since you already have some really good optics and a detector in your DLSR. A first step for you might be a mount that lets you track the sky. Since you probably already have a tripod, you might want to look at one of the Sky Watcher Star Adventurer Mounts. They are about the same price as this unit and allow you to mount your camera and lens for great night sky shots.

Guys, all the things you have stated are correct however, this whole telescope weighs 2 pounds and you’re up and shooting these pictures within five minutes. It’s very versatile easy to carry and transport the gear. What you guys are talking about takes time to put together.😉 The other advantage is you can be inside a warm, cozy place, while your telescope is out in the freezing cold.👍

Can the telescope give color when a lot of stacking is used?
@deepastronomy
@deepastronomy 11 ай бұрын
Sure. It's got a Sony CMOS sensor that works in the daytime for taking pics and videos so if a deep sky object or planet has color in it, it should come through. I'll be testing that with more objects as time goes on.
