Y'all, that concentrate game freaked me out, because my friends and I did it back in elementary school, and I saw blue. I didn't believe it at first, because I was a really good swimmer, but when I was 14, I was swimming in the ocean and my sister was tanning on shore and she feel asleep. I was caught in a riptide and got swept a mile out to sea. I had technically left the country and was in international waters at this point. Every time I tried to swim back, I just kept getting further and further away and I could barely see the shore, so nobody could see me. I was so exhausted, I started to sink. I had two choices; either die out there, or try with what little energy I had left, to try to make it back to shore. I started kicking again and decided to swim parallel to what looked like the shore. It seemed to work; I wasn't going any further away from it than I was, so I swam diagonally. The whole ordeal took nearly two hours, and when I finally reached land, I was so far away from my sister that I took off running (only on adrenaline by now because I don't know how else I could have done it) and ran back to where she was. SHE DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE I WENT MISSING!!! BUT THAT'S NOT THE POINT! I slept for two days straight after that. I could've easily died. By drowning. Now I basically just avoid water completely unless to drink or take a shower. I haven't gone swimming, especially in the ocean, since.
