As the director said, 'Look what she can do with her eyes.' In News of the World, she reminded me very much of a young Saoirse Ronan in the film Atonement because of t his very thing. Saoirse photographs exceptionally well with movie film, and she seems to have an uncanny awareness of how she acts with her face will wind up looking on the screen. And I think this might be true of Helena Zenger as well. I look forward to seeing more of her work in the future.

Anyone seeing how devastating it is that yet again a film like this is produced from a white narrative, ignoring the pain and violence behind this history for indigenous/ native people in America? Sorry to burst your bubble, but the fact is that during the push westwards, white children were held captive and raised by native Americans, for a variety of reasons. In Texas, German settler children were routinely taken captive by the Kiowa, Comanche and Apache tribes, often after the Kiowa/Apache/Comanche had slaughtered the settlerfamilies. They were raised as native Americans. These events occured and to deny them is to ignore history. That is not to deny the injustice done to the Native Americans. I am not saying that the one injustice justifies the other. In war, injustices are committed by both sides
