It consists of flour, water, yeast and oil for the baking. Circa 15ft when made it home. With garlic and salt plus... Yesterday evening I ate 4 "langos" for 60 HUF... 15 CENT... :-)

In Hungary, lángos is a typical beach dish. It was very cheap and had nothing on it. Today it is cheap only in the markets, 600 HUF, 1.3 EUR, but tourists do not get to the market very much. They buy it expensively and put all sorts of things on the langos. I'm Hungarian and I won't let you put anything on it, because it's the most delicious.

It reminds me of pastel, a brazilian savory snack. It’s made of deep fried dough stuffed with (mainly) cheese and ground beef. Also a very popular street food.

I would consider Langos more as a snack and pizza as food. To me Langos is without topping, only salt or garlic rub. The hybrid Langos with topping is of course more inbetween.

In New Brunswick, New jersey, they have a Hungarian festival every year. They make Langos and other Hungarian foods.

In Italy we also have this. We call it pizza fritta, fried pizza. Somewhere they call it montanara. We usually put tomato, Parmigiano and basil on it. But there are also more gourmet versions.

I had Langos for lunch at a rock festival 8 years ago, that was my first time (maybe only this far) having Langos. I really liked it! There's Langos trucks coming to my town from time to time, but I haven't had the chance to go when they're here. Hopefully I'll have the chance to this summer. I prefer Langos with garlic, sour cream, cheese and red onion on top. When it comes to preference between pizza or langos, it's really down to what I want that particular day, both are really good in their own way. That said, I consider langos more fit for lunch, and pizza can be lunch or dinner as pizza feels more like a complete meal

My fast Langos was on the streets of Bratislava. It was amazing. I have had it in Budapest and Vienna, and even once in London. My mother in law makes it whenever we are around?

You can make fuchka with cream cheese onion chicken as filling . It's crunchy and if you can make the delicious filling it'll be a great treat . Use tamarind sweet sauce for dipping 😋

In Canada we have beavertails very similar instead of a circle their in an oval, and Instead of savory, we have them sweet. I like them best with melted butter cinnamon sugar and a splash of lemon juice.

We call this Indian fry bread in America. You can even make a Indian Taco with the fry bread . Usually it would be cooked in animal fat

Similar to Navajo fry bread. You just need to ditch the sour cream and have a grandma slap the dough around for a while before throwing it in a vat of lard. Serve it with honey, powdered sugar, or make it into a taco!

Mekitsa or Tiganitsa in Macedonia. It is the same thing but we eat it with white cottage cheese or with sugar. It is mandatory to treat everyone with Mekitsas on the day you get a newborn baby.
