While I am an advocate of black and white film remaining untouched, I thought that it might be nice to see a film with Dwight in color, since unfortunately he was never able to appear in one during his all too brief life. So here, edited for your enjoyment and in honor of Dwight's memory on the day of his passing, is Dwight's appearance in the 1932 mystery/thriller "By whose hand".
"Colorization" is a bit wonky, but thank you for watching.

Excellent work on colorizing it! I watched this movie recently and really enjoyed it (just wish Dwight had been in it longer and had more dialogue). The scene where he says goodbye to his mother is very tender... and heartbreaking, considering what happens to him on the train.

Thanks Carrie, glad that it was enjoyed. I know it's a film we've all seen, but I thought it would be interesting to see Dwight in a "color" film.

Hello 30:'s Dame. Thank you so much for this most beautiful coloized clip of Dwight and the cast of "By Whose Hand?" Seeing that on this day 76 years ago, he passed away of a fatal heart attack, you and the rest of his die hard fans still remember and honor him and his acting genius today and every day.

He emphasizes some words strangely. Did he had a speech impediment?

I do not like the way black characters were treated in these movies nor how whites treated blacks in America that's my only objection.
