*My man was interrupting the fuck outta the hoopers with them questions lol Howard was making a powerful point, with emotions. And buddy cold cut him off to ask joe about a rumor about a 1 million dollar a year deal. Gotta work on transitions and allowing the moment to live. That conversation could have continued with Joes opinion on that subject. Could have got a viral clip because Howard was definitely gonna start crying lol. Gotta let the people speak though champ!*

Unfortunately, there are more stupid people than sensible people commenting on social media. Remember, Tony Snell, a free agent NBA player who needed, still probably needs a few games to get NBA retirement benefits because his children have autism, and people were like, why do you need it when you've earned 50 million in your career? A lot of people don't consider the multiple taxes, fees, boatload of expenses, that come when you make that type of money and think like the players are getting close to the full amount.

What I "hear", when I listen to grown men complain about paying taxes & fees on multi-million dollar contracts, is that THEY simply didn't have the maturity to be responsible and manage their financial situations. These 2 former athletes blamed everybody except themselves for their financial shortcomings (i.e. No Accountability). Instead of buying another luxury car, why not enroll yourself into a finance or accounting class? Why not humble yourself, and learn, rather than just rely on other people to babysit both you & your money?

Serious question, coz I don't really know: Those billionaires use stocks instead of salaries so that they don't get taxed, right? Is there a way for NBA players to get paid in stocks? 50% tax is crazy. Even if I'm wrong in this, there's gotta a way to avoid getting taxed that high because those billionaires and politicians don't get taxed as much as regular citizens do.

I got $61 million and taxes and agents took it all; Most people don't make $1 million in their working life; Gotta treat money like it won't last; If you are given $61 million the first thing you do with the net money is put $5 million in the stock market S&P 500 and don't touch it. They are correct about the taxes but also a tax accountant can get back about 2% which still put the effective tax rate at about 48%. Today's professional athletes have it a little better due to Trump's tax cut that will end on Dec 31, 2025. I don't know why all of the professional sports unions will not band together and lobby to reduce their players' tax rate.
