I lived in Phoenix in 2005. Was a scary time. I’ve since moved due to all the crime & violence. But only an hour away. And yes our summers are very long & hot. Does something to people tempers for sure. ♥️ya Mike! Thanks for all the recent uploads!

I was living just north of Baseline Road at this time. I feel like at that time I was fearless although I stopped running at night and ran during the day… which was probably statistically more dangerous in the Arizona heat. I had a great tan.

Still hard to hear Robin Blasnek’s name mentioned. My little sister grew up with Robin, and I grew up with her older sister, Rachel. Rachel died in a car accident in the 90’s when we were just teenagers. After I left AZ I was heartbroken to hear that Robin died, but didn’t know it was murder until hearing this story on your main channel. Robin was a cute gal. Kind of like a kid sister to everyone when she was younger. So sad. Not only for her, but for the parents. I can’t imagine losing my children like that.

This is going to sound weird, but I don’t think it was something he heard that alerted him. It was probably the subconscious nudge that the sounds out side have stopped. The police would have stopped traffic and moved people away. We had someone barricade themselves in their apartment here. I didn’t notice a thing. A friend texted me about it, so like an idiot I stick my head out the door and the police man waved me back in

I remember when this happened, i was in my early 20's. My friends and I worked at a bar where we had felt safe even walking home after work late at night, until the news began to spread. It was clear the police had zero leads for what seemed like forever. Everyone was terrified to walk anywhere. We were even afraid to step outside just to take the trash out to the curb for fear of being shot... In fact I think that's exactly what one of the victims had been doing when they were shot. It was surreal that we suddenly had two separate serial killers running around at the same time. The news stations were constantly reporting more and more victims. Eventually even driving on the freeway seemed risky, as the shooters had originally been targeting people walking alone in neighborhoods, but then people started being shot at while driving in their cars. If i recall correctly, that's how the police finally got a description of the vehicle they were looking for which eventually helped to arrest the shooters, Thank God. Its an understatement to say people lived in fear just to step outside each day that year. When they caught the serial shooters it turned out they lived only streets away from where i lived at the time. The baseline killer was in the next town over. Terribly frightening year. Oh wow, I just got to the 2nd story in 2018. I recall the law office shooting of the two woman very well. Just terrible. My heart goes out to all the innocent victims and their family's. We learned someone had been shot within an hour or so of it happening because the police blocked off the streets. This also occurred just blocks away from me but in 2018. In 2012 I moved to old town Scottsdale, near 70th street. The law office where the women worked and were killed is located near 75th st. I can walk there from here...🤔 It sounds like I live in terrible, crime infested areas 😅 but in reality both places were/are in very upscale neighborhoods with very little crime in comparison to most of the Phoenix area. Perhaps that's why when there is crime, it's all over the news...Well that & I'm pretty sure we very rarely have serial killers running amok. Anywho, thanks for the trip down memory lane Mike 😅
