Lyrics
She said, baby things change
I said, but I feel the same
She said, well let me explain
Baby, how things can change
I said, but that doesn't show
How a love that could grow
Would become so strange
She said, well baby, things change
She said, Na, na, na, na, na
Now, now, now baby, don't try
To figure this out
Or ask questions 'bout why
Forever's a promise
No love can survive
And trust with hearts
Just don't apply
She said,
'Cause baby, things change
Na, na, na, na, na, now, now
So baby I quit tryin'
To figure things out
About all your hearts lyin'
Forever's a promise
We couldn't survive
Hey, I may be slow
But I ain't blind
She said, I still love you so
I said, I don't care to know
She said, you once cried my name
I said, well baby, things change
And let's don't go placing no blame
'Cause you know things can change
Na, na, na, na, na, na
Na, na, na, na, na, na
She said, you once cried my name
I said, well, baby, things change
Na, na, na, na, na, na
Na, na, na, na, na, na
Let's don't go placing no blame, yeah
'Cause you know things can change
Na, na, na, na, na, na
Na, na, na, na, na, na

Dwight takes hillbilly rock, Mexican, bluegrass, and country and blends into a sound no one can match. A sound so uniquely Yoakam that it is never mistaken for someone else's work. He is truly one of a kind.

Bunny Towne, would you like o see more of him? MOve to Canada, He's Canada's prime minister Justin Tudeau. His dad performed under a number of names. Buddy Holly then John Lennon Buck owens. Elvis Presley was paul McCartney later springsteen steve earle. Note Dwight's resemblance to Elvis. Buddy )Pierre Elliot TRudeau married Gladys Presley. She sang under te name Ptsy Cline but had to disappear because Vernon Presley was an abusive drunk. Because of her indan blood it was easy to disguise her as Japanese Yoko ono. Dwight Yoakum is Elvis Presley's little brother. Elvis is alive and well just won the oval office under the name Donald J.Trump. BTW Priscilla is canadaian and Buddy holly's little sister. Her very first record Puppy Love was co-written by he brother B.E Owens. She was trying to catch Elvis' attention wit her big brother's help.

@Nezbit Odenstien They got in the schools, feed nonsense to young minds, then got foolish people to buy into participation, or " false confidence", trophies. The land of theory and conjuncture doesn't always, or never, transfers to the world of Real Competition. To much butter, for to long. Sacrifice is just a word to most people, most can't do it long enough to feel that real commitment to others well being..... that's when you start to understand yourself more. It starts with being comfortable and silent, by yourself first, then you bring others you think and hope you can trust into your circle. They will fail you...... it's just a matter of time when. Then the fun begins, was it you, them, or lack of genuine trust and loyalty. Basically agree to disagree, but move forward because the advantages of said friendship or relationships far outweigh the disadvantages? I've been a Dwight fan for decades. Even though I was actually a headbanger from the ’80s. I've seen him in concert more times than I can count. I have all his CDs. I'm going to see him in October of this year. My best forever friend and I going. We are going to have to sit in the disabled area due to both of our health problems and although this may be the last concert she and I ever go to, it is totally worth it!

@@jonburrows2684 I read this too late, I felt to reply. First, I love that song! Then, is there ever any song that Dwight has recorded that I don't love? Nope, not one! I do have to say, your reply caused a giant sized smile from me. There's so many reasons I love Dwight! It's all of these: Dwight's voice, his taste in the music that he's done, his personality, and his upbringing! I can relate to those. I really love the twang in his voice, as was in a lot of people in TN, KY, well lol, much of the south. I like the Rockabilly sound, the influences in him from Elvis, Lefty Frizzell, and Buck Owens. I think we were both influenced, he and I by similarities. He's about two years older than I am. So, we heard much of the same music. Funny, he lived closer in Kentucky and in Ohio, than I did to my Grandparents in TN. I was born an Okie. I remember many, many times with several of their neighbors, I promise, it was as if they were speaking a foreign language! I couldn't understand them! One lady, in addition to this, she had a very high pitched natural voice! I loved those people. Some of the best of the best! Gotta get, and I always talk too much! I always have.

this dude has always been an underrated country singer or singer in general, seems like when people talk about country music this guy never gets mentioned and I cant understand why. I mean when I heard 1000 miles from nowhere many many years ago I thought it was George Strait , that should tell you he has a great voice and great songs, he just doesn't get the credit he deserves in my opinion.

It was her favorite song before she lost the battling to cancer, I wish I could change the hands of time, I miss her smiles, she was always there for me and our lovely daughter, and I never miss a moment with her, life could be so unfair most times, there is some pain, I will cry in vain but won’t let you know how I will feel yes, I will miss you to the core! but some times i wonder why bad thing always happen to good people. mairendee I have listened to Dwight for many years , I hate to state the obvious so many people aren't hearing . Dwight is a true hillbilly from Kentucky who never got his break till after several years and landing in LOS ANGELES . He had mountain music style born in, but he developed his own style through those years . Hardly traditional country with a little rock , and he also plays with a lot of the Bakersfield style of country (his idol and friend Buck Owens ) .
