They are actually all extremely talented... and can all sing and dance really well. The dancing in this song is meant to encapsulate new jack swing of the late 80s early 90s like bobby brown and his dancers in 'every little step'.. they even do his signature double kick thing... its from time when dance routines werent super rehearsed and no one was really in complete sync even while doing the same moves... the irony here is that they have super rehearsed and practiced the routine so it looks like it hasnt been super rehearsed or practiced. They have solo cover versions performed live and they are all so good... they are top tier when it comes to talent in kpop. Hanni plays a few instruments as well and danni was the voice and singer for ariel in the korean dub for little mermaid for example. check out the (un)helpful guide to newjeans 2024 version to see how talented they all are. And yes they are bringing back the 90s... EVERY genre they do is 90s.
