There's no necessity for any of those route to end/start in India. Both the maritime route can and do go to Sri Lanka and via Malacca to South-East Asia and China. The Land route goes from Iran to Central Asia and China in Asian end, and Turky and to other European nations in the western end. World doesn't actually revolves around India. Russia and Iran ARE natural allies of one another and their natural shared focus should be on influence in Central Asia and Azerbaijan. Russia and Iran ARE NOT natural enemies of the West. They should actually be our close natural allies in the world, but there are diplomatic failings on both sides. The Russian territorial aggression against Eastern Europe is irrational and self-destructive. Iran's theocratic elements and focus on supporting jihad in the middle east are irrational and self-destructive. For our part, the West has not done a good job of building trust and has not properly communicated to Russia and Iran that we could be allies, and we've previously betrayed their trust (ie., US support of UK abuses of Iran and support for the destruction of Mossadegh's democracy). We should work on eliminating the war-hawks on our side that hurt our ability to have functional diplomacy with Iran and Russia.
