The European and the US economy are extremely intertwined, what had boded both of them extremely well. Of course we are concerned about our most important partner choosing madness. We just can't decouple from the US and they can't (and should not) decouple from us - especially when it comes to cutting edge tech. It would take a long time and leave both of us extremely weak in comparison to China, as both of us had only halve of the resources to utilise anymore. Within the West we share technology. With China we trade, they take our technology, but little is coming back. A split within the West means technological and thus eventually military supremacy of China, a country that does not care to make partners on eye level.

US military enlistment is at its lowest in nearly 50 years yet the Biden Harris regime has had the US close to WW3. Harris would continue this policy. Enlistment is so low due to DEI and work agenda. What this administration considers "toxic" is the mentality needed for a strong military. More hypocrisy from Europe as European tariffs on US made products are higher than European made items shipped to US. For example auto industry Europe's tariff is 10 percent on US made autos yet its only 2.5 percent on European autos imported into US. How about ZERO tariffs on US made imports until ALL NATO MEMBERS MEET THEIR REQUIRED 2% GDP REQUIREMENT. You want the US to protect Europe either pay up or eliminate US made tariffs.

Why wouldn't they be concerned? The US is one of their largest markets in biggest trading partners, their largest security guarantor, and most reliable ally, if there's a big shake-up politically wouldn't that affect them in a major way?

as a european, i am amazed to see this obsession with Ukraine to continue, especially Germany, which has suffered and will continue to suffer most economically! While US benefits from this war hreatly, Europe loses on every angel. Europe also needs to pivot to asia for its own interest, while is in ge-globalization mode to contain China and ensure its own economic dominance, one way it will ensure this is by sacrificing Europe.
@peabase19 сағат бұрын
Germany scored an own goal by overly relying on Russian gas. Naively, Germany thought that the Russian tiger would lose its stripes while trading with Germany. It didn't realise that Putin probably never cracked a book about economics. So, Pootie-Poot confused interdependence with dependence. Oh well, Germany will rebound. Russia? Probably not. What is "ge-globalization [sic]"?
