Seems DW completely ignored the fact that Venezuela economy was screwed before any major sanctions hit it. The way the oil company was run meant the Maduro government sucked every dollar possible from it and it's infrastructure was beginning to fall apart. All based on the wrong idea that oil prices would grow endlessly. Zero savings, borrowing even when the oil company still worked and the oil prices were at record high numbers. So when oil prices fell Venezuela was practically bankrupt, massive overspending, oil company production dropping due to badly maintained equipment, oil spills and lack of spares, debt and unmanageable expenditure. All tied up together with serious corruption and inefficiency. The American sanctions were just one more hit to Venezuela but if they didn't screw themselves financially first they would have likely been able to endure the sanctions much better, like Russia during the Ukrainian war. Russia prepared, Russia saved money, Russia maintained it's oil industry, Russia kept enough gold and other resources to back up it's currency. Even Russia is suffering due to sanctions but nothing like Venezuela. Venezuela was already a broke trainwreck before the sanctions.

As a Venezuelan with a deep understanding of politics, history, and geopolitics, it's important to direct attention to who is truly behind the suffering of our nation. We must ask ourselves: why did Venezuela begin distancing itself from Europe and the USA? Who influenced our decision to replace American military bases with Russian ones? Why adopt extreme nationalist ideas, and why start purchasing Russian military equipment? All of this points to Russia's influence, operating through Cuba. Currently, Maduro is using Venezuelan planes to travel between Iran and Russia, maintaining control over Venezuela with outside support. It’s clear that Maduro couldn't have orchestrated this on his own. Additionally, it's puzzling how Trump allowed these actions to continue, seemingly in exchange for political favors. It's strange that Trump appeared to use Venezuela as a pawn to win the election, and even more curious that he maintained communications with both Putin and Maduro

@@bibekpoudel5745 The documentary seems to waver between criticizing the Maduro regime and glorifying its resistance. It highlights the atrocities committed by the regime but also portrays Maduro as a resilient leader who has withstood numerous challenges. The inclusion of interviews with figures like Rafael Ramírez, who has been implicated in corruption scandals, raises questions about the documentary's objectivity. The documentary fails to provide a clear and coherent analysis of the situation in Venezuela. It leaves viewers with more questions than answers, making it difficult to form a definitive opinion. the documentary is a missed opportunity to provide a comprehensive and unbiased account of the Venezuelan crisis. It is plagued by inconsistencies, questionable choices, and a lack of clarity. Mexican music in a video related to Venezuela?
@Gian11235Ай бұрын
@@bibekpoudel5745The documentary seems to waver between criticizing the Maduro regime and glorifying its resistance. It highlights the atrocities committed by the regime but also portrays Maduro as a resilient leader who has withstood numerous challenges. Questionable Choices: Music: The use of melancholic Mexican music is seen as inappropriate and out of place, creating a disconnect between the serious subject matter and the background music. Interviews: The inclusion of interviews with figures like Rafael Ramírez, who has been implicated in corruption scandals, raises questions about the documentary's objectivity. They did not do a good job investigating Luisa Ortega for the documentary, she was responsable for many people on jail and tortured.

The problem with Venezuela is that those that are in power live like complete royalty and there is no middle class. The poor people are under the impression that without whoever is at the top they won’t survive, even though they’re screwed as it is. This has been the case for Venezuela since the creation of the county.

Porqué no hablan de la situación económica de Alemania, en vez de criticar los grandes avances y crecimiento económico de Venezuela?

Funny Maduro accuses John Bolton (the US) was responsible for the failed drone attack. Mr. Maduro, if the US wanted you to take a dirt nap....you would no longer be consuming oxygen.

Why are they interviewing so many people from the US? Don't they have enough analysts from Venezuela (or, at least, from Latin America)? Analysts from the US are either ignorant about other countries, or they will say whatever is more convenient to *their own* country 🤨
