Problem I see with this is where are they taking troop from? They already wasted crack troop in Kursk and have to redeploy them again back to Donbass to stern the Russian Offensive there. Kursk right now is a meat grinder for both side, different is that Putin can legally throw his conscript who cannot be deploy to Donbass into Kursk while Ukraine is using 1st tier units like Air Assault Brigades. And the latest raised Brigades is barely up to standard of TDF, let alone good enough for a new offensive into Russian line which are well dugged in by now. Ukrainian High Command is quite literally throwing their troop lives away for short term PR gain while their Army Morale is dipping to all time low. They should have cut the losses months ago when the offensive was unable to push any further, they already have good PR from the sudden attack but by trying to keep those small territory as a possible bargaining chip, they are losing their strongholds and logistic hubs in Donbass. And this talk about a renew offensive? They don’t have the manpower nor the Artillery shell, either they have to pick Kursk and accept the losses in Donbass or conduct a fighting withdrawal out of the incursion zone before the Russian cut off the supply route.

What do the Ukrainians expect by launching this offensive because if they are capturing empty fields and small outskirts villages in Kursk they are not improving any position on tactical level or any strategic level. The Russians will retreat for a moment until they again counter attack after their reserves reach the front lines not from Donbass but from inside Russia because this attack will have no effect in Russian operation in Donetsk because Russians have ample reserves in Russia itself. Only if Ukrainians capture Kursk itself then we can say it's a Ukrainian victory which is highly impossible considering Russian huge reserves that will immediately counter attack. This operation is only for PR and nothing else to other then to show Western World that it can still launch offensive

But as an Ukrainian citizen (even Russians and people in Nato countries). Peace is the best option, even if Ukraine has to leave eastern Ukraine to the Russian population who lives there. Only the oligharks earns on this war. And the politicans who has signed the Paris Agreement, because they can blame Putin when the negative consequences of the Paris Agreement will take effect.

Kursk is where these Ukrainian civilians, trained by NATO for 2 weeks to be a super soldiers and hope they can shoot something. Instead of the Russian soldiers they face the North Koreans for a warm up. NK soldiers are there for training thats why the Kursk region is still open.
