Forgot to mentioned that i was very impressed about your story about PTO2, its definitely a game with a huge learning curve, which i can see some modern gamers having difficulty understanding. Anyways i was just very impressed that you manage to actually land japanese trooops on US soil, that is a huge feat in this game, surely it must of taken you weeks or so back then.

Im a huge fan of Koei strat games on the snes and i do ouwn PTO, PTO 2, RotK3, and recently picked up Liberty or Death (revolutionary war). I put in a few hours in LoD and its just great to back into classics after all these watered down fps you see these days. If you looking to get back into some more strategy retro goodness i suggest you get Liberty or Death i fyou have the time. :D

I would love to play third person flying game like star fox again. They really need to make a 15 or 20 dollar game like that for PSN. Their was a really good game like that for the sega saturn called solar eclipse. I think like you'd like it DW.

@gabrile23 Solar Eclipse? I'll have to look that one up. There's a retro gaming store that opened up here I live, and they sell Sega Saturns. I should get one and see if I can find Solar Eclipse.

@KampucheaKing Oh getting Japanese troops onto US Soil in PTO2 took some work lol. The west coast of the USA was defended pretty well. I use to play PTO for months at a time, then take a break, and go back at it some more. You're right, it had a learning curve, the instruction booklet also took a lot of patience. Younger gamers of today wouldn't have the patience for it, they want the instantness that a lot of games provide today. They won't bother with a tough learning curve.

@Oakshan29 Well I always assumed it was lol, since it was so hard to find it back when I first got both PTO games in the 90s. And the PTO group I am a part of always talks about the games as if they are rare and not as well known. Most of my gamer friends over the years have never heard of PTO.

@KampucheaKing Liberty or Death? Never heard of that one, is it SNES or on a different platform? Sounds like my kind of game! Yeah I also get tired of all the FPS and watered down games these days. I find myself playing all the old stuff a lot because I miss the innovation and challenge. These days developers are trying to be as casual friendly as possible. Sad to see it happening.
