@@chotadinosaur8277 I'm not asking to build bullet trains everywhere. China offered to build 160km/h fast train from Peshawar to Karachi and that too in 10-12B$. And this line will serve almost 150 million people so if we don't mess it up it would pay its cost very easily. But problem is that every politician in Paksitan is invested in bus transport and trucking business and such a train would put them out of business. My cousins are invested in bus transport on the route Mianwali to Islamabad, when Imran Khan became PM he started two new train routes from Mianwali to Islamabad and the bus Mafia made him take his decision back within a week. 12 billion dollars for Karachi to Peshawar train is like peanuts but we are delaying it on purpose. On the other hand they approved the white elephant of orange line in Lahore within few months

I am from Pakistan. There is no fast train at this time. Govt has planned to launch a so-called fast train called ML1 from Karachi to Peshawar under CPEC. The project has been approved but there are some financial matters to be resolved by Pakistan and China. The maximum speed of the train will be only 160 KM/H as such I am saying it is a so-called high-speed train. I think that the average speed of the train will not be more than 120 KM/H Present train system is designed for 130 KH/H speed but due to the outdated structure speed of the train goes max 110 to 120. I propose that we should build a railway track to meet at least future needs for min 50 years. So I always propose to build a track for at least 500 KM/H so that if an investor brings a high-speed train the same could be operated on it. This will also save the time of journey and reduce the load on Airlines. Can anybody comment on my point of view?
