Thanks a lot batts, I am this kind of player freaking out whenever the opponent is attacking and messing up upcoming long reading sequences which go through half of the board, and this used to stick me at 10k for a while, but your videos and especially this "back to basics" series teaches me how to calmy respond to aggressive moves, let the opponent struggle with the weak stones he created and profiting while pretending I keep attacking it! Now I am actually very happy whenever I get cut for instance: "hum, guess who's gonna be able to attack-and-build now!" I say to myself... Just applying these basic ideas you keep repeating over and over allows me now to beat SDK players in very chill games, where my groups are nice and strong and I just build while exploiting the weaknesses of my opponent!

Hmm since you win the second game by 16.5, doesn't that mean that it would have been pretty close/hard if you didn't get to live in the lower left with that well-known sequence he didn't see? Ah yeah I'm stupid, of course you'd talk about it in the review.

How can you win after give up so much territory(first game). White could have easily won if he had come out instead of living small and give you the influence. After you play m2, white could have m3 cut you and fight with you. But white just play all the passive move and give the influence and let you wins the game. You know after seeing the opening where white got so much territory, I was wondering how white could lose. Black just give white too much.(the wall black got have a weakness at o12, it is not strong) Then white suddenly played like a kyu. And thats why black wins.

Because he gave me a wall that spanned over half the board. Then, when attempting to keep my growth in check, he gave me the other half.
