I know Hasbro gets a lot of unwarranted hate for their megazords, but this time, it's pretty dang justified in my opinion. I know the gimmick isn't going to be the same as kyuranger, but I'm pretty disappointed by this one.

Their justification was probably due to how the Dino Fury Zords were priced. T. Rex Champion was 25 Each of the limb 2 packs was 20. So that's 65 already. Add in the new accessories for another 10. Is this a good pricing model? NO. The set was on sale for $50 starting about a week after it was released, which is still a bit more than I'd want to pay ($40, tops) but is much less unreasonable.

I am amazed that the Shark Zord wasn't changed to look gold. I know they can't change it in the show, but I was expecting them to do it with the toys as they did with the Lion Thunderzord. You do have a point that the Sentai mecha are much better, but at least Hasbro did a good job with the Cosmic Fury Megazord even though they aren't doing a good job with adapting Kyuranger. I quite like how the Kyuranger mecha look with their different colors and make up the different five ranger color combos. As I am writing this, I built my KyurenOh with the Snake and Bull Zords as the arms and the Fish and Eagle Zords as the legs to look as close enough to the Red Megazord mode.

I had such high hopes after the ryusoulger robots. Really wanted an articulated version of this. The ONLY defense I can think of is they were worried the final combination would be a floppy mess if shishi had joints. They still could've made the joints a separate part that fit on the kyutama and that would justify the price slightly

That "fleet mode" reminds me of the carrier formation of the Thunderzords. Which, given that Zedd was introduced at the same time, kinda makes sense.

Yeah, 70 for this is insane. I think what they could have done is add joint pieces since they are using Zord Link. Idk if that'll look weird. But for that price, they could have tried. I do like that they gave the Lion Zord its own megazord form, which I hope ties to the show. I also think the carrier formation basically tells us that this is the Zeo upgrade for the Dino Fury ranger. It looks exactly like the Palace mode of the Thunder Zords. That had to be on purpose. I really hope the rest of the zords are released. At a better price, I'd get them just so I can make a better combination with the dragon zord. I'm a huge fan of Kyuranger, but the 6th ranger combination was terrible. Zord link could allow for a more cohesive combination than just "backpack." Overall, this is a terrible way to get people excited for Cosmic Fury.

I thought for sure Hasbro would make elbow joints and knees standard. All they did was take a BOA product, and upcharged it by 40 dollars or so. This is lesser quality that the Dinocharge zords from Bandai I have, except 50 dollars more think.

My theory: Maybe the future retail release of the cosmic fury zord will be sold separately. The cosmic lion zord will be sold in its own box and the other four cosmic zord will be sold in another. Which might be sold at a cheaper prices. Similar to how MMPR season 2 Thunder zords were. Which could be why this mega pack is sold at $72.99. Since the zords are sold together.

Boy kids are getting screwed. I got the 2010 Megazord at walmart for just 25 bucks which is about on par with this one's low quality. It seems like an amazing value in hindsight because inflation would make that 25 bucks in 2010 only $35.05 in today's dollars, yet Hasbro's offerings now charge more for less.

the t-rex champion, which has a more complete robot mode with actual posable joins and tons of ways to mix and match the zord link parts and better a better looking alt mode, was $30. they almost had something. they were so close to filling a really good niche of still transformable more action-figure like zords that are larger than mini-pla but not as high quality as the OG toys (in terms of size and plastic quality that is. the zords were otherwise very comparable to their sentai counterparts). and now they have stepped backwards into giving us low functionality bricks. much like a parent, im not mad, just sort of dissapointed.

I had the idea for the Cerberus Zord that the other two heads could be rotated into arms with white/blank Kyutama that would be like hunky shoulders then have Pink/Green/Silver/Cyan (latter two I had gender-swapped). It gets around the fact how the comedic relief duo (guess that reveals which constellation it is) joined the team prior to attaining the powers in a wannabe-type fashion yet still took part in various battles and even fought in the final Megazord fight in the finale before the adaptation begins so they get some form of permanent grid connection despite not having a Zord (or zords) of their own

I have enjoyed the Hasbro run so far. I think in general they have done a good job of bringing a bit of soul back into the toys that I felt was lacking in the later bandai era. And so i honestly am a bit disappointed in this release. It's not a purist thing, I didn't like the design of the Kyuren oh to begin with. My issue is that this doesn't look like it is worth the money they are charging. And if this is the Amazon box set, that likely means that the price point will be split up like previous releases. I'm guessing 2 packs for the limbs and the red will all be sold separately. And honestly it was a hard sell for beast morphers and dino fury, but a complete deal breaker here. That said I'll acknowledge I probably wasn't interested in this release anyway. I will hope that the next release Hasbro does will be better. I think this is an obvious rush job to get us through. We do know cosmic fury wasn't exactly fully planned or expected, so I'll give Hasbro grace for this one. I just hope we get back to dino fury quality. Id be okay with that

my problem is fact that. back then. Megazords were pretty 1-1 with their sentai counterparts. Maybe drop some lights here, some sounds there. It was essentially affordable sentai mecha. but that was back then. and im disappointed at the asking price of this. This is like what? 30-40 usd value. And like another commenter mentioned. apparently for the same price. One could get a used but still functional kyurenoh at that same asking price. Now if this was made with higher standards in mind, WITH lights and sounds. Then we could talk about maybe 60-70 for the price range

the orbs of the hasbro kyutama are more screen accurate to the actual mecha suit. It's not bad, but I will stick to my kyurenoh. Kyuranger wasnt overly popular in Japan, so most of the toys are cheap to get, outside of orion battler since that was an exclusive. I do believe will get ryuteoh from hasbro, but probably not orion, tenbin gold, or hibitskai silver. Maybe washi and gigant houou will show up, though I think houou is the more likely candidate as an "ultra zord" although I don't really think there will be enough episodes to support 3 megazords. since we know we are getting a certain purple ranger, orange ranger, and a returning old school blue ranger, I'm betting ryuteoh is pretty much a sure thing.

This is priced so insanely, like you said in the video If this was comparable to the prices of other megazords we have gotten I think it would be fine. I feel like a lot of people somewhat overreact when comparing the Japanese toys to the American ones. Of course the American ones were lower quality, but they were also significantly cheaper. Why would I expect a $35 toy to match up to a $70 toy from a different country where they have completely different ideas of what toys should be. That always made sense to me, if you were a collector and you really wanted something high quality you could go for importing Japanese toys which was more expensive but overall better, if you actually wanted to play with your toys it made perfect sense to buy the American ones because it's significantly easier as a kid to get your parents to go to Target and buy you a $35 power rangers toy then it is to try and explain to them how desperately you need this $87 megazord from Japan that you found on eBay. Trust me I know, because I tried to do that plenty as a child lol. Having this be priced in the collector range I think is really stupid, it's quality is just not worth that price. And I fear that because this won't sell well rather than learning from it and trying to lower the price, they're going to market as a failure and try less with megazords and other combiner robos. It's so weird to me that they are simultaneously trying to appeal to young children and making toys with a lower quality that kids wouldn't really notice unless they started watching toy reviews at a young age, but also trying to appeal to the nostalgic adults by pushing power rangers more into that nostalgic range and constantly talking about shows that kids probably haven't seen. If you're going to try and charge prices that only adult collectors can really afford, you need to make these toys have the quality that adult collectors actually want.

I think the best thing the Hasbro version could have done is more paint details and a more metallic paint on the Kyutama. Even leaving off the little asymmetrical details, most of them could have had just the little extra details on the faces and the black lines on the tops of the arms. That alone would have made it feel a lot more premium to me. EDIT: Forgot to mention, I ended up getting everything except Orion, and most of it pretty cheap. I probably paid more than I should have for RyuTeiOh, but I made up for that with everything else.

I think people forget that an average two season of power rangers has at least two or three megazords and lots of figures and role play toys. Cosmic fury is only one season, 10 episodes and smaller assortment of toys. So the price is aligned based on the what is being offered. If you don’t like the price pass of it or wait for a sale. That’s why power rangers can’t be taken seriously, we got a bunch of adults whining and groaning about this and that.

i agree with your title being called worst hasbro Megazord compared to Kyuren Oh though it has more of that in depth feel of a toy which has that much more playability than the Hasbro version they did well with the Dino Megazord but they should have more detail for the Cosmic Fury toy line of the Megazord just like KyurenOh yet i like the toy line much better if it were actual show wise of Kyuranger using the blaster changer like in the show and use the weapons to since they want to go American original instead of using Japan’s style of weapons from the series like Kyu The Weapon from a blaster to an axe and a sickle weapon just like the show this is where it might annoy those in Japan that they might make a mockery of their own show of Super Sentai in the next era of power rangers when they adapt more again i want to see them do it right from the show from either Lupin v Pat or Zyuohger adaptation in the next era using the same arsenal and everything instead of knock offs

I feel like the issue for both Super Sentai and Power Ranger is the globes, they literally are the reason for the huge forms not having crazy articulation. With out counting that Kyuranger was a 2016 Sentai season so articulation wasn't going to be the best. With all honestly, I made a joke during Beast Morphers/Dino Fury that all the budget for Beyblade Burst was going into this and I can't believe how badly things have been turned into because of poor decisions. I hope that future Mechs get better but this season is going to mostly be a failure for the zords

Having zord link ports for these zords is cool but i rather finish the dino fury line with only 3 zords 2 basically the same mold the pacha smash zord is pretty similar.

Reminds me of the "Intermediate" megazords from Galaxy, Lightspeed, and Time Force. It's a significant downgrade from thr DX version but it's got some better articulation and no combining. But this...still does the combinging thing...and still has the same articulation...and still is priced like the DX. Siiiiiigh

Hasbro has done a pretty bad job with the releases, quality , and value over all of the majority of the megazords i feel like they should just quit. The QC of the lighting collection is pretty bad too. Also before you try to be all pro Hasbro, you are talking to a seasoned collector of both Transformers, and Sentai figures for over 25 years so I know what I am talking about. I remember the post Disney/Jetix era when we were headed in a more cheaper direction with BoA. Up until the Jetix Era we got pretty much 1 to 1 with the exception of maybe paint apps and die-cast being removed here and there. Plus even before the zord compatibility Gaoranger/Wild Force and Hurricanger/Ninja Storm toys could combine with each other. Even during the times before the post Nickelodeon Era BoA did there best to make the megazords just work. Now I was hoping for better with Hasbro, as I am a life long Transformers collector, but they gave MMPR the very short end of the stick immediately. lesser quality than Transformer toys, and that's saying much since we have to deal with rampant QC issues with our Transformer figures. However Hasbro seems as if they want the line to fail so they can get a tax write off. They aren't even trying. Dino Fury I admit was a hopeful glimmer of light as I really thought Hasbro stepped up the game to give you something very close, arguably better than the Ryusoulger versions...but this Cosmic Fury mess is just not it. The waste of plastic instead of making the quality somewhat better really shows Hasbro is losing their profits...and what ever touch they had. Debate me all you want but I have been doing this longer than some of you have been alive so I have seen it, and currently seeing it right now.

Sentai mecha were made with the Japanese market in mind, which skew to either extreme - very cheap and low quality, or very expensive and high quality. The American market tends to prefer something more in the middle, so starting with Operation Overdrive, a new, cheaper mold was made instead that could be sold for less than the Sentai version would have. During the boom of early Neo-Saban though, Toys R Us actually sold the Sentai mecha as exclusives. Not even in Power Rangers packaging - the literal Sentai mecha, straight out of Japan. Sadly short lived and now impossible, as Hasbro and Bandai are rival companies and Hasbro would absolutely _not_ be able to import their rival's molds.

Yeah, this (to me) is still the worst Megazord in PR history and RPM exists with a lesser nod to In Space with a Megazord being of two parts. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come from original designs.

for this i hope this recent release should study how the mini-pla articulation and translate it in their own release seems this CF is a downgrade from Dino fury zord i hope hasbro will find to pull-out again a decent articulated megazord

Dino Fury Zords were amazing in detail, articulation, and quality. These? not so much. Also not a fan of the theme and overall look, so I think I'll pass on the Cosmic Fury zords.
