That block box thing is from the episode when Megatron creates the Stunticons. He places in the back of Breakdown on his engine after he cuts him half. I dont know what it is but my guess would be some kind of Cybertronian tech that turns the car into a transformer.

Ironically Menasor is the 1 combined where the leg bots size doesn’t matter because they just peg on. Size motor master is the skeleton in theory xtb fanstoys and dx9 combiners could all be the same size (at least height wise). It will be interesting to see how different the sizes really are. As always great review

They don't need to be on time. They just need to prove that their Menasor will be worth the wait for those still on the fence, if not worth swapping out or owning alongside their competitors' version(s) for those already on board XTB/DX9's take(s). Personally, I hope Fans Toys recognizes this. I'd rather that any of these guys take their time and ensure their product is as good as it can be. Though if Fans Toys could, I don't know, give an update on where the hell their Trailbreaker and Blitzwing are after preorders for them have been sitting around for years, that'd be great...

Ngl I pulled the trigger after seeing how great the box art was, and seeing how he looks finished Im glad I got him. Great review Bobby, Im fairly new to the Third Party game myself, got Spark Toys Spartacus (after watching Jobby's review on the guy) as my first Third Party Transformer, and Im looking forward to getting Montana, and the Make Toys Seekers soon myself among others.

How come people complain about scale/size on this figure but are perfectly ok with Megatron's and Soundwave's way out of scale alt forms? So this car is a bit bigger than the others. It's not the end of the world. I think it looks pretty good.

I've always thought the MP Carbot's were too small in bot mode but This however I'm digging the bot scale. As much as I love XTB's version,I hate how small he looks next to MP36 as it reminds me of father and son situation lol. Fanstoys IMHO Bot mode looks too big for my liking. If only Dx9 priced this around the same range as XTB,then this would be a totally different story.

He might be slightly too big. But only a hair. I still say the MP carbots (and hence XTB stunticons) are WAY too small. Whatever the official scale is, I don’t care. Sideswipe, Prowl, etc, just look stupid next to MP10. Aside from that, I like him. Of course Breakdown is my favorite TF so...

Carbots don’t usually excite me-and I don’t adore the Stunticons like I do the Combaticons and Predacons, but, wow, that’s a gorgeous looking car and robot! And, it’d make the pre-sunlight-faded XTB Breakdown a bit more nervous...if it weren’t way cheaper. Still, I have a hard time imagining how Takara or FansToys or anyone else could really improve on this. Maybe it could be more solid, or have different details here and there. But, Montana looks like it walked right out the show and onto your desk. And, for those who dig that, it’s perfect. Personally, I’m even getting a bit of the Carbot pull with Tung Mung’s Soundwave. But, I’m mostly wondering if Planet X’s Deathsaurus could release this year, or if I should just go for MMC’s Lynx... or about a couple dozen other things! 😆

I think of the vehicle mode and bot mode are both kind of amazing. I like the aesthetics of this guy much more than the Xtransbots offering. I’m seriously considering going in on both sets. And then I’d likely get FansToys when that comes out. I’m a sucker for Menasor and Defensor.

It looks cool. But in this group for me. The best figures I'm waiting for are Motormaster then Dragstrip and Deadend. That will determine the buying factor. The height I think is ok because they are combiner pieces and in my mind should be a bit bigger and tougher than the regular bots. One thing I liked about the cartoon was that they were butt kickers in the beginning. Autobots couldn't handle them and we're having trouble dealing. Until the aerial bots popped up. I always saw the combiner pieces one step below the Dinobots. When combined. They would start to fight. The Dinobots fighting as a unit. Should be as strong and destructive as a combiner. One of my favorite Dino moment was when they took on Trypticon in the comics. Any how. This is not about the Dino's but the Stunticons. I'm going to wait till the full set is complete. I hope it will be way better than the transformission one. Though I gave 2 pieces of that set.i was definitely disappointed on the combiner. Though it looks good. I don't like the review seem to show how fiddly it was.

Yes, scale is a mess with transformers. Was just at the US AirForce AIr Museum and when you see a F-15 up close you can see how huge it really is compared to a car. But, once again Megatron is the biggest yet turns into a gun.... lol whatever you are right size/scale is up to the collector.

I think I do prefer the white also, but until we have all of the stunticons lined up as teams and we can see the whole unified group(s), I won't know for sure. And I do think I also prefer the larger size, I've said it many times and will continue to say it, the Autobot cars are too darn small.

Personally I dont see a Lamborghini and a F-15 Eagle being the same size. Also, I dont like that the hood becomes all of the arms. They are too busy and the red stripes on the arms looks weird. The crotch plate makes little sense when it could have easily been sectioned. And yes, car size is far too big. It loomed marginally smaller in prototype pics but the final release looks like an overscaled KO. Oh and that oversize will lead to just 1cm of height difference in combined mode. Hardly worth it. I will not be dashing out to buy this. My eyes are on the Fanstoys but the X-Transbots release is still a great purchase.
