I have a KO Diecast G2 colored version of these... They are almost identical with the difference in some of their face details. Like Long Haul, mine has a facemask less face with good details. The transformation is identical as well as the articulation, just that they all are mostly diecast and have few plastic parts. Their combined gun is also different, bigger and also the individual form of the weapons are also different, but the combine gun is very cool. I tend to give a weird form to the fists and store them on Hook's crane, and it looks cool. In Devastator mode is as tall as a MasterPiece size.

I just received my "GT Engineering" Devastator. It's eery how similar they are to these. But, still a bit better I think, bigger and more color and detail. They are heavy, sturdy, tight, and there are several metal pieces as well as some more color variety (e.g., pelvis, chest, dozer buckets). I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND these to anyone, collectors or kid players. There are a few sellers on eBay selling them for ~$31 right now (May 29, 2020), which is actually $20 cheaper than when I purchased about 2 weeks ago. Now, one cement mixer didn't have silver paint on one side of the grill (oops), and the crane fronts don't stick together as well as all the other posts and tabs. You can search for "GT Engineering", it may be called "Green God". The link below is exactly what I bought - look carefully at grills, pelvis and details to make sure you're getting the high quality. It's actually XianBianZhanShen 6 in 1 alloy King Kong God, but that won't show up in the title nor descriptions. +Brad Koski I'm a little more partial to my Devastator as it's the Unite Warriors version but it's a really amazing set overall. I really don't understand why there are some very vocal people who don't like them. From what I can gather though, they're actually the minority. It's just that they seem to put it down every chance they get so it just seems like more people don't like it than actually do. I also don't understand why people are so for third party figures. Not many of them are really all THAT amazing but people keep singing their praises as if they all are. For the prices they sell for, I expect so much more than what keeps getting put out from the third party companies. They're specifically designed to be "perfect" but they never are. The designers take the extra time and put the extra work in to over engineer them to the point that they forget such simple things like basic articulation and simple locking points, mess something up that needs to be corrected with new parts that come with the next figure (one that you may no longer wish to even buy because they fucked up the previous one) or completely ignore tolerances to the point that things become fragile and scarey to transform (something that they should be able to do perfectly as that's what they're supposed to do more than anything else). Third party companies are not on the same kind of design and production schedules nor do they have to produce as many figures as Hasbro or Takara and as such, they have the time to make sure things like that don't happen yet they still do. They can also charge whatever they want pretty much so it's not like it's a budgetary restriction either. It's just proof that third party companies aren't all they're made out to be.

hi i dont like the combiner wars version cause it looks like a over over over sized legion class not even a legend figure . this 3p set look so superior from posability to tramsformation to bot and alt mode and with almost zero cable also when combined ok this one is tiny it s even better so i can save space on my shelf for other same size combiners this is my point of view

CW Devastator has NOTHING on this guy! I am so impressed! I think I'm going to get one to populate the new Trypticon (once it's out). EDIT: Just got mine. Great figure, but I though it would suffer a bit less from the limited leg poseability. A thigh swivel would have helped a lot more than its below-knee swivel. The individual bots are just lovely, so satisfying to transform.

Hulkie himself isn't bad, but the individual bots leave a lot to be desired. This set also needs to be a lot cheaper. Rivaling Combiner Wars without the size just doesn't jive well. 75-100 bucks? Ok, I'll bite, $150 though? Nah come on.

Benscollectables Hey Ben GREAT REVIEW bro! I thought you'd like to know Bone crusher & Scavengers hands CAN be left on at all times & you got the transformation a touch wrong. Let me help.... You need to pull out on the hinge joints and rotate the arms piece (while fist is attached) when transforming from bot to alt mode, just make sure you rotate the arm piece around after you pull out the hinge. Then seat it back in so the fist is at the rear of the underneath part of the alt mode. And there is a little connector tab that you seat under there as well. ;)

I am in love with this set. I had always wanted a G1 Devastator but the lack of movement and engineering due to it's time prevented me from getting him. But this is a re imagined version of that set and it looks so good. Any word on a release date? Thank you for reviewing this! Considering these things are tiny, outsourced to China, and mass produced, this set is obligated to NOT be 100+ dollars. Each component should be about 4 to 8 bucks tops.

I remember when I got the original Bumblebee. He was 2:98 at Toy's R. Us. I remember when I got the gold version of him. He was 3.78. The more expensive Throttle Bot; Goldbug was 5:98. Todays Shockwave was 9.98 at Walmart. Not 18.33 like one of those would be. I think today's toy cost too damn much for how cheaply they are made. Materials, low labor wage, and tax loopholes. That's politics and such. Your lol suggests you don't incorporate such things into price judgements. It also suggests that you are accustomed to price gouging. I understand such things, but I refuse to agree; if, that is what your lol was about. Toys should /are not obligated to cost less than this. Hell, Trypticon was 32.78 and was sold out in neighboring cities. Had to go cross-city to get him.

I hate to say it, but a lot of this issues are not because of preproduction but because of DX9 in general, from my experience with their War in Pocket stuff and reviews of some of their other stuff. Not much concern with working out these little issues before releasing stuff in any format. Also, Hook's crane is the wrong colour and looks very odd. They should fix that also. Also, it sort of looks like it hasn't tabbed together. Is it supposed to look split apart? Thanks for the review.
