I would also say that Sunny is kind of that intricate vocalist. She ended up with a lot more vocals that people realize. (Sadly it wasn't until about a year ago that we found out that she doesn't like the way SM made her sing - they wanted her to give what she called "MSG" to their songs - but she didn't sing naturally in her style.)

1:35 No... They are THE concept. 🤣 SNSD/Girls' Generation are officially known as the Nation Girl Group of S.Korea, but they're also unofficially known as "The Textbook of Girl Group." SNSD has done almost all the concepts so that newer groups can get inspiration and adjust it according to their own. They also popularize a large 9 member group (when the usual members are only around 3-5) and all the SNSD members are popular (at least during the 2nd and 3rd gen). SNSD's contribution to K-pop are more than YT views, album sales, and music show awards. A lot of successful sone (SNSD fans) became kpop idols themselves like Dami (from Dreamcatcher), Chaeryeong (from Itzy), Karina (from Aespa), and Moonbyul (from Mamamoo) to name a few... If you like vocals then you'll really enjoy SNSD since individually they're good (I mean 👑King Taeyeon is there😎), but the groups vocal harmony is even better especially when it comes to ballad and live concert performance. Personally I became a SNSD fan because of their funny-unfiltered-chaotic personalities. I consider them as comediennes doing idol stuff 😅. Thanks for checking and I hope to see more SNSD reaction. 👍

Not the visual position, that is much older with idols like Eugene, Eric, Kangta, Yochum, etc. Yoona is credited as being the first center. SM doesn´t acknowledge the position of visual among their groups but Yoona has been called the center by the members and is the member with the most time being in the center during title tracks performances which led to the general public to name her the center and she is the first Korean idol to have that title/position, but that role was first popularized by japanese idol groups that often had designated centers that were in the center the most, were the most popular, sang the most lines and were the leaders of the groups at least that's how it started. Think of groups like AKB48, Morning Muzume, etc.

Furthermore just by looking at their performances and group pictures, I can't find any clue of who could be the center and if they had one it would only be a center by name. During performances the ones with the most center position were usually Yeeun and Sunye. Sohee had a lot of center time during "like money" and "nobody", but nothing to be of noticed plus the group photos and ending shots in performances are evenly distributed. Lastly, Yoona's center position was due to her "hegemonic" beauty and being recognized by the general public from the few dramas and the many CFs so when they saw a picture of SNSD or a performance they were familiar with someone or they were drawn to the group by noticing her first. The only clear centers of second gen, and the only idols who do all that were Yoona, Suzy, and Seolhyun, Yoona being the first of them to debut

They were not the first huge kpop girl group, they were huge in terms of kpop girl groups but they were not the first. The first is S.E.S there from the same company but debut years before them SNSD is like maybe the 7th or 8th. Snsd, wonder girls and Kara are the legendary girl groups from 2007, WonSoKa. Snsd is a legendary group because they set up what the next generation could achieve for themselves, they are literally the base of what Twice is tbh and every girl group that debut after 2010.
