When you move you can pass out candy, decorate your house, have a Halloween movie screening, and go to any larger parties in your city. My city has a 2-3 day big street Halloween party and a bunch of other places have Halloween parties

I’m currently curling my hair for my witch costume. I’m gonna be a black and neon green witch just to pass out candy. The past couple of years no kids have shown up but this year we have some new neighbors with kids, so hopefully there will be some trick or treaters.💚🖤

We had trick or treating last night in my little town. We almost missed it bc every other year it goes with the school district, but this year they switched it up on us. Thankfully my little ones costume was a fox and easy to put together lol

Oh my gosh when you were talking about Halloween and fall/winter time you were saying exactly how I feel! I always wish I had more to do on Halloween because I love it so much, but I feel like there’s never much going on. I also prefer warmer climates and when I get the chill in the air for fall I just know my wintertime blues are right around the corner. 😰 So nice to hear someone that feels the same! 🧡

The weather was so nice and ‘chilly’ for Florida 😂 I took my pup on a nice morning walk and then went to a local brewery with my dog dressed up in a hot dog costume. Got home in time to pass out some candy for trick or treaters! I finally got light enough to be able to do some fun vivids! My first was a canary yellow…. I think next will be a deep forest green 😬

I’m 25, only have fur babies, and live in Australia where Halloween isn’t a big thing. But I still dressed as goth Alice in Wonderland and went out shopping with my mum. It’s easy to let the weird looks get to you but it’s much more fun to hold your head up and just enjoy it. I’m so excited to see the neck tattoo btw! Omg I was pippy long-stockings with a coat hanger in my hair too as a kid 😂 since it isn’t a thing in Australia I haven’t done many Halloween costumes, but I try to make up for it by going to cosplay events.

I just love the whole vibe and season for Halloween. We decorate together but new Halloween decorations for the yard. Carve pumpkins before we had kids my husband and I started who did the best pumping and have people vote. We still do it now that we do have kids. I do enjoy trick or treating but love passing out candy playing scary movies and or music. Making Halloween-themed food or ordering Halloween food.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed an entire weekend in Salem just this past few days and we took a few walking tours both at night and during the day. The weather was altogether crazy during Saturday night's tour and we definitely had some paranormal activity happen during it, but it was all part of the magic. Salem is just awesome in general and we had a blast!

I’m the same about spring, I can’t enjoy it bc I know hellish hot wether is in my future. I think i hate hot weather so much bc I was raised poor in the south with no AC, and me and my sister had to share a box fan (a box fan that caught fire and then we had no fan). Summer meant misery. Winter wasn’t great bc we didn’t have real heat either, we had wood stoves and kerosene heaters, which you couldn’t leave on when you left, so you came home to a freezing house. But I could always warm up eventually, unlike the summer where there was no relief.

I absolutely love Halloween as an adult! I go all out in decorating the entryway to the house with a theme that matches my costume and it’s fun to see the kids faces when they walk up to the door. Also, I decorate the entry way table to match so when I open the door, it connects with all the outdoor decorations. My neighborhood also has where if you don’t feel like/can’t decorate, a lot of the parents will congregate in one of the cul-de-sacs or street corners and have food & drinks for everyone (usually easy stuff like burgers, hot dogs, chips, dips), one of the neighbors has a trailer attached to his truck for hay rides around the neighborhood, and the kids get their candy from each family there too. Some of my neighbors even make small “haunted houses” out of their large garages or will use one of the cul-de-sacs to make one! they’re obviously more simple than what you’ll find at a paid production, but our neighbors love halloween and they love doing it for the kids. One year, we decided not to decorate and instead brought our projector out to the drive way, projected (family & kid friendly of course) halloween movies onto a sheet in front of one of the garage doors, we sat in chairs in the driveway watching the movies (with your drink of choice of course) and then handed out candy from the driveway as the kids came along.

Holy cow, I realized when you showed your napoleon dynamite costume that I used to work at the same salon and assisted for the same stylist!! I already had a small world moment when you said you’re from Indiana, but this is just crazy. Moved to North Indy area in 2014 and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. I used to go to bars and dress up for Halloween but I'm too old for that scene now. But I have discovered that I can relive my twenties by driving for Uber so I decorated my car with lights and garland then dressed up as a lion on Friday night and a gypsy on Saturday night! I love dressing up in costume! And I'm also in the Midwest, Missouri, and hate winter. Where are you moving to anyway? You keep saying that you're moving but you haven't said where... Halloween is my favorite time of year even tho I've made it a year round thing for myself. My boyfriend and I did genderswapped Beetlejuice and Lydia for a party where we were all random genderswapped versions of different characters. It was great.
