Oh crap, now I'm curious, too. I just commented above that I wouldn't recommend buying these sprays because so little color was left behind. I don't plan on looking at the gold... but now I'm super curious. You're an enabler, Suzanne! (In the best possible way.)

Would you have gotten deeper colors if you have sprayed this while it was hanging instead of turning the can sideways to spray?

Marlene Jones I'm honestly not sure. I sort of doubt it because I got so much more color from some of the other color mist sprays using the same technique.

I think you might get more coverage if you hold the can upright.

I'm not entirely sure about that. I'm sure there was some dye left in the can, but I got pretty good coverage with the other color mist sprays horizontal. If you think about cake decorating, you can't always turn those on their sides. I think that there is just a lot less pigment in the silver than in the violet or blue.

I wonder what would happen if you used this over a yarn that’s been dyed a solid color?

There is so little color in the entire bottle I don't think that you would get something very noticeable at all. I don't recommend getting this shade of Color Mist for dyeing yarn, but I had to do it for science. ;)
