Years ago, I made cake pops that looked like jingle bells-the silver ones with the X. I used a silver spray on the them. My husband said he cleaned up sliver for a long time. When your husband suggest a backdrop, I thought to myself it is not going to be enough! Oh! I also LOVE Love and Pies! So glad they sponsored you!

This is my favorite of your videos so far, you and Kevin are so cute, the part where he goes "Oh yeah. No? Oh yeah. No?" Is something I quote at my husband now. You turning suddenly to look into the camera as he talks about getting a close up of your face, and of course the sad cleaning juxtaposed with you happily decorating the cake. It's all so fun! Omg….Kevin…the spray is everywhere 😂. The cleanup!!! The Kevin look…😂 But the cake does look elegant…Worth it Kevin…right 😂 When I use my airbrush, or coloured canister spray I use a huge cloth backdrop and a big box with my cake inside. And a drop cloth on the floor. Cause that spray, it be going everywhere!!

Hello I am a pastry chef and love watching your videos. Here in Denmark morderen cakes are made out of cake, mousse and multiple different layers and flavours. We use cacao butter spray/ velvet spray. Or glaze to cover mousse cakes made in silicone molds. Since mousse gets weird when you don’t cover it. So velvet spray and glaze is normally made for mousse cakes. It’s for either a mat finish from the velvet spray or a very shiny finish from the glaze.

And normally you put the velvet spray cans in hot water for 5 min ish before use not the whole can. Otherwise the cacao butter gets too cold and clogs up in the spray head.

A 3 sided box will do wonders at containing the overspray. We used to do this to our finished chocolates, it gave them a fuzzy texture when sprayed on very cold chocolate shells. We used an airbrush, didn't have the spray cans back then.

Maybe purchase an inexpensive vinyl tablecloth. They usually have a flannel back so they won’t slip. You could hang a clear heavyweight vinyl shower curtain from the ceiling to help contain the overspray. Since it’s clear Kevin can still film. Shower curtains are sometimes machine washable. You can take them outside to hose them off or maybe put them in your shower.

If you are thinking of getting a spraying machine you ought to consider getting a paint spraying tent, it’ll protect everything and they are fairly easy to set up
