Sasuke vs Raikage was a great fight during the 5 kage summit. Sasuke and the 4th Raikage were interrupted by Gaara in the middle of their battle. But one of them was winning the fight and would have won if Gaara hadn't arrived. So let's find out if Sasuke or the Raikage would have won.

@@zelz3011 obito thought sasuke could handle a mission like that. he had a whole team after all. but even with zetsu as support it clearly was too much. the original plan was for sasuke to rile up the kages and kill danzo. then obito could have maybe picked off a kage later while collecting danzos corpse. obito even made a remark on how sasuke was weaker than he expected. him going to the kage summit and getting directly involved was never the plan.

The way Karin was describing Sasuke's chakra it's clear he was getting stronger throughout the summit. At beginning dude was superior to his curse mark second state so he's over 10x stronger. The Uchiha's emotional empowerment is honestly pretty cool and shows how limitless their potential is.

Something that wasn’t mentioned was the fact that even had the Raikage landed that stomp at best his life as a ninja is over. Losing an arm is bad enough and knocks him down a few pegs imo but a leg as well? How would he be the fastest ninja alive with only one leg? Was he planning to hop at Sasuke for the rest of the battle had Sasuke not gone down to that? (Wrote this after pausing at 5:12) To summarize it all up, I say Saskue was going to win, but not by directly killing the 3rd Raikage. The 3rd Raikage...was going to kill himself... The 3rd Raikage (gonna call him Rai for short) is like a raging bull. Strong, but easily strung along. Rai showed he didn't give a single damn about Amaterasu and willing gave up his arm just to damage the SUSANOO, not even Sasuke. Why people thought it was so badass for Rai to be destroying himself, I dunno. It wasn't even cool in the Kai-oken x4 way of self-harm, but I digress. Despite this "badassery", Saskue is doing fine. Bloodly coughs are way more preferable to a Liger Bomb. Which brings me to my next point. Before Gaara's timely intervention, Rai was willing to essentially jump on Amaterasu to kill Sasuke...but that wasn't going to work. Really think about this. Rai's strongest attack was definitely that Liger Bomb, a move Sasuke's Amaterasu disabled, and only CRACKED the Susanoo's Ribcage. ...You honestly believe that a Liger Bomb further powdered by KILLING INTENT that only CRACKED the Susanoo's ribs...would be beaten out by a generic ax kick? The 3rd Raikage was going to die. He literally was jumping into Hell with a basic bitch kick and expecting it to OUTDAMAGE HIS TWO ARM, MURDER-FUELED LIGER BOMB. No...just...no. He would have landed right in Amaterasu and be set ablaze. Remember, no one on Rai's team had a counter (or put out would be a more accurate term) to Amaterasu. Rai was going to lit up like a match and die an excruciating death. Personally, I don't find self-immolation by dumbassery to be badass, but there you go. Rai's own "charge now, think later" mindset was going to get him killed.

Its clear as day Sasuke has no answers for the Raikage in this fight save amaterasu. Even then, Amaterasu only worked cause A didnt care and let it. The way the Ribcage is Designed it doesn't look like there's any Bones in the front where the Raikage was going to leg drop. I feel like the Raikage saw that and aimed intentionally for that spot. There WAS no susanno to protect Sasuke, only the black flames which doesn't stop a force until after its all over. Sasuke is not superman, I believe he would have Died here.

If you pay more atention you will see that the Raikage's last punch actually damaged the ribcage as well. The Liger Bomb broke only one of his ribs. But when Sasuke is on the ground again after the second hit, you can see that 2 of the ribs are broken. It is more easy to notice in the manga. It seems really plausable that Raikage's Guilhotine Drop would be able to pierce another one at least. Also, this time the atack would not hit any rib, but the empty space between then. It seems like something to considered. Even if Sasuke did survive that, the Raikage would not die instantly from the flames. He would still be able to hit more blows, and than Sasuke would be done for for sure, so as the Raikage, so it would be a draw.

After all, he later uses the Susanoo to muuuch greater extent and time with no blood spit whatsoever. What happened? @@Dark_Lord_of_Mustafar I kinda amazed. Even in the video at 2:00 Dygoknight mentions that the ligerbomb caused cracks in the ribcage and according to you it "didnt even scrath Susanoo? Incredible. Also that Ligerbomb was before Raikage went in his "full power mode" 2:24. After that, his puches send Sasuke to the ground and yes, just as I said before, it cracks the ribcage a bit more. Before the puch, one rib was broken. After, 2 ribs were broken. It's a simple math. If you pay attention you can see a few pieces of the ribcage flying after the puch, both in the anime as in the manga. Everything points that the guilhotine drop would be quite stronger than that, and even if the Susanoo resisted, the Raikage clearly doesn't botter any pain from being burned by amaterasu. Even if he immediatly lost his leg, differently from the arm, he would still be right next to Sasuke and could still attack him. Sasuke got a chance to catch some breath when Gaara interveneed, and then manifested a more completed Susanoo for a few seconds only the collapse the building and use this chances to escape and go after Danzou. When he finnaly reaches him he fails to mantain a simple ribkage susanoo againts Mei due to chakra depletion and needs to be saved by some zetsus. As for Gaara and the others saying, even after knowing that Sasuke need to be saved by zetsus and later by Obito against the Tsuchikage, that Sasuke could have easilly killed all six of then, it must problably be some looney filler shit from the anime. I don't recall that scene in the manga. Anyway, it should be enought to say that Gaara fought against 5 Madara Susanoos a few days later and survived. To really believe that Sasuke could have killed all six of them plus the other jounin in any plausable way is beyond pathetically fanatic. But, of course, making a reasonable analysis with what the story provides is one thing, to say that the story would indeed have Sasuke and Raikage killing each other was not for Gaara's intervention is something else entirely. Kishimoto could simplly make him wake a much developed susanoo, or make Raikage's leg vaporizes instantly with that new amatarasu. Or else he could surely take out of nowhere any excuse or new power to make Sasuke survive. If he wanted, he could just survive using kawarimi. He simply gave him eagle summonings out of totally nowhere and that's it. His compromise is much more focused on making "shocking and thrilling" events than in making them plausable and reasonable.

I just want to say it doesn’t matter where the bones of the susano are located. As seen with madara the aura of the susano itself is defense. You could make an argument that the chakra/aura surrounding the susano is less durable the the body/bones of the susano itself. However it’d just be headcannon since it’s never been shown or stated.

Honestly I think it was due to Ay's bloodlust. We've seen that he's able to fight much better against Madara and fight smartly against much stronger beings just fine. And had he done that, he likely could've beaten Sasuke mid-high diff imo. The issue is Sasuke came into HIS house causing a ruckus and got him feeling some type of way. At that point, rational thinking kinda went out the window. We see him know exactly what Amaterasu can do and what it does, and knows he shouldn't let it hit him. Yet ten seconds later when his ego is challenged, he runs full tilt into a mote of the stuff... And while he can't just auto-neg the ribcage, he can clearly damage it. A stead flow of consistent damage will eventually have him coming out on top. The issue is if Sasuke ever evolved it to completion like he briefly had vs Kakashi, then we'd be seeing a different story lol But overall yea I'd say it was a draw with a slight favor to Sasuke had Gaara not intervened

Its clear sasuke wins for me for 3 reasons: First: Ay was jumping directly into the hottest fire that burns even fire itself, that brother is definitely dead after that. Second: Sasuke was getting stronger each second of that fight, the susanoo cage was getting stronger and stronger by the minute as proven by how he used the full susanoo against Danzo just a while later, so he's definitely blocking that last kick at least enough to survive, sasuke can also use the arms from the susanoo for further protection or even to relocate after the raikage hits the flames, he's definitely not losing to that kick if it didn't even get past Gaara's sand. Third: Sasuke has one of the highest IQs in Naruto, if he put the flames in front of him and didn't even try to dodge the raikage then he most likely knew he would be safe from his attack, and dont act like the raikage is much faster than sasuke, he literally dodged his elbow a few moments before with only his chidori and sharingan, he could easily move out of the way if he wanted to, especially since the raikage jumped into the air like a dumbass. I do believe tha Raikage could have given a better fight if he wasn't so mad about Sasuke capturing B but in this case he was definitely gonna lose from just jumping into the flames with no plan. That Brother was definitely saved by Gaara.

Ay's final leg drop wasn't able to pierce Gaara's sand defence.. also, earlier his best attack 'The Liger Bomb' barely scratched Sasuke's Armor Susano .. there's absolutely no evidence to think his leg drop has enough AP to destroy spiked Black flames + Armored Susano to kill Sasuke .. those spiked black flames pierce the body btw .. Ay would've died there .. also, Sasuke wasn't running low on chakra .. he literally made an even bigger Susano 2 minutes later against Gaara and stated 'My defence is greater than yours, Gaara' .. i don't see how people watch the series and still conclude Ay would've survived.. let alone kill Sasuke .. maybe it's the hate towards the character

I definitely think the Raikage has a bad match up against Sasuke. Amaterasu is incredibly powerful. If the Raikage landed that last blow, then Sasuke wins but is critically injured or its a draw with both eventually dying from their injuries. Regardless, Sasuke would come out on top. The Raikage would have lost at least another limb.

Gaara saved Sasuke's ass. A's kick was going to hit him with full power as the susunoo ribcage was only protecting his back. In the front there was only amaterasu which was meant to scare him off and make him back out from the attack as it's not a shield against physixcal attacks.
