There's definitely ways to improve the time. Dying by magic from the dragon seems simpler -starving to death can be done at any point, just set up a bed right before for basically a death reset or whatever it's called in speedrunning -withering away can be from the skeletons, too, might be faster to wither from them rather than risk the wither killing you while retrieving the rose -would placing more cacti around you prickle you to death faster? If so while getting pricked by the bottom you can break the second/third blocks and triple the prices There's probably more but that's what I got. Good video nonetheless, I like these niche runs

1. starving to death could be done at any point like you said, so how would it improve the time (this includes the end of the speedrun)??? doing a hunger reset also doesn't make you starve to death, it makes you die of fall damage 2. going against more cacti doesnt make you die faster 3. i kinda agree with what u said, but u meant for him to go get withered by wither skeletons after he dies to a wither skull. it would just be faster to die to withered while being in the nether looking for skulls, so he would save the time of going through the nether portal after he dies to the wither skulsl.

@sraiaan didn't they take time to intentionally starve themselves? If so, not doing that and letting yourself starve would save time. The death by wither skeletons thing was exactly what I meant. While gathering skulls or something you can let yourself get withered and you're good on that part, just set a spawn right outside the portal

Items in your inventory can't actually be blown up because the explosion kills you which means by the time the items are on the ground, the explosion is already over. And even if it was an item on the ground during an explosion, shulker boxes actually drop the items inside when destroyed as of a recent update so you would have been fine regardless!
